I just want to say that this page is amazing and i have learned a lot from you. Your love for Africa is amazing and it has helped change the perception people have in the west in regards to Africa. Regards from Nairobi, Kenya
For the person who was asking about opening a Yoga Studio, Rwanda has become very health conscious so you could open it there. There's an African American woman who's opened a gym there that's very successful and there's also a no car day every month where the city works out in the streets. Hope this helps.
Hope Offord-Powell I’ve just joined a FB group “Repatriation for Africans of the Diaspora (R.A.D)” that I’m enjoying. It’s positive and there are others whom also are working on moving to Rwanda.
Hello everyone, am Tanzanian,, am so excited to watch your videos and actually I love to listen what people talking about Tanzania and africa in positive ways and how they feel it, am ready to help anyone who needs to invest in Tanzania in different areas like communication technology, farming, fishing, business, tourism, restaurants, and other business, a lot of Chinese, Indians, Arabs, Europeans and other US people (mostly whites) are making money from Tanzania resources but my brothers African-American are not coming like whites people who are coming in larger groups as tourists and investors so am encourage you to come and invest in Tanzania, you may invest in just small business but payable
Every time I watch your videos, the nostalgia from my hometown returns and all of a sudden I wanna get on the first flight to Dar. Since my mother passed away in 2016, I haven't had the "strength" to go to Tanzania because 90% of my memories of visiting Tanzania in the Summer was to see and be with my mother who worked in Tanzania for the last 5 years of her life. I even planned on moving back to Tanzania after college so that I could be closer to her. But life rapidly took a different turn. I still want to move back eventually but I have to get over the hump of associating everything Tanzania with memories of my mother. Once that happens then maybe I'll be able to go back without the overwhelming feeling of sadness. Again, I am grateful for your videos. In an odd way, your videos help me to slowly heal. The heart always yearns to be home and it's like your videos whisper "Come back home" every time I watch them. Again, thank you.
Sorry for your loss. We never fully recover from losing our loved ones. I know what it feels like over and over and over again. Just know that you are not alone. I hope to one day visit Tanzania for some time. Take care Czar Julius
I am SO happy you mentioned the fact that a lot of the NGOs in Africa are engaged in some nefarious 'projects' that are harmful to Africa and it's citizens. They come there presenting themselves as helping but like Bill Gates, the reality is much different. This is why Peace Corp and other orgs are a no-no for me. I'll find something else to do while in Tanzania.
Hi traveling Sista! I'm from the "757" too. I left, moved to DMV and I will head back to Tanzania this summer. You are the bridge to every sound, sight, and smells of home. I will be in Geita. I would love to speak with you before I leave in a June.
Hi Traveling Sista, Thank you so much for your videos. They are very informative and are helping me gain important and necessary information. I am planning to come to TZ in 2020. I currently live in Maryland. I would love to meet you when I’m there. Keep up the good work - you are truly a blessing! Congratulations on your new baby & marriage.
I love your videos. Me and my kids are moving to Africa next year. I’ve finally decided on which part of Africa (Rwanda) we’re moving to and as you said, it’s about each individual, what their journey is for them, and what they’re looking for. Congratulations on being brave enough to make the journey. I’ve received all the comments you mentioned and then some when you tell people you’re moving to Africa. So funny. It’s about informing them not asking permission. 😜
Hi Kiana, we are also looking into moving to Rwanda. My husband spoke at a conference there last month and fell in love with the land and the people. Will will be going back this July to spend some more time exploring the country. Can i reach out to you via email, etc.
Love your perspective. Truth be told we have been in a war in the US since our ancestors arrived. We can't explain or justify all the killing/missing and incarceration rates. We can't explain or justify our educational and parts of our health systems. Our community is getting it from all directions. Looking forward to visiting a peaceful place.
Thank u Sista. One day Kenya/Tsavo SAFARI cost between 100-200 us dollars, And they norm collect Tourists from their Hotels in early Mornings around city of Mombasa/Kenya. I was Shocked and surprised when Sista indicated that it Cost between 500-2000 dollars in Tanzania.
hello dear friend, do you have experience of such Safari in Kenya/Tsavo etc.., i would love to g there and want to know the exact cost, i mean the fair cost we need to pay. Appreciated if we can share the info...Thanks!
2019 i will be in Tanzania i'm retired at 49 with 30k savings, and 1500 usd a month as a budget see u soon do u have a majicjack does it work out there
I just looked up Magic Jack. That is a bomb service, and from what i read on their website, a lot of African countries are supported for an additional per min fee. You would just have to buy the intern'l credits in $10/$20/$40 increments.
I really enjoy your videos. If you see this I do have one questions. How do you feel you've evolved living abroad in Tanzania. Do you believe living there gave you the ability to grow in a way living in the States would never let you? Did you find a more centered life there? Sometimes the stress of living in the states can really be much. Maybe the comparison of a healthy life possibility between there and in the sates... if any of this made sense.
black panther peter oniel is in arusha around momela road a place called napoco famously. if you ask any person a way to peter oniel you can be directed there . i am a neighbour to him . welcome back.
I have mentioned to my family about moving to Tanzania. It is not my motherland, I’m from Europe but love Tanzania. Have been coming to Tz since 2012, first as a tourist then to build a school in Tanga . My friends in Tz encourage me to come and my family is concerned about me going to this faraway place . They never came with me to visit. I realize it isn’t a perfect place . I was scammed by an Arusha man who stole $6,000 from me and lots more in different items, I was cheated by someone else, probably overcharged that I didn’t even realized . I know that people are desperate for money but dishonesty is disgusting and dirty . Karma remembers .
Danny Gibson there is actually community of rastafarians and ganja is well cultivated in Tanzania though it is illegal but static shows Tanzania is the largest producer of ganja in the world especially Arusha, it is normal to plant a tree of weed on your farm or backyard though it is illegal but people do that and there are places which weed is growing naturally like other normal weeds and people don't care
Danny Gibson best natural ganja....kenya and Tanzania have the same seed they plant in Malawi...(chichamba in Malawi is classified the best in the active phd in weed)... local name street is majani,(leaves),,,im kenyan..we have a whole lot of names.....ndom should be the most common..😊and great hip hop too...
luqman msuya yes uniquely bad going to cause crying that's what you do best and then the white man for everything you idiot you live in Africa using Africans like you too they kill each other like hell trying to blame white man for slavery and everything else this slavery going on back in Africa right now black and black slavery explain that to me you moron know your history you dumbass idiot
Plenty of hospitals, but the standard of care is different. Also, she’s a US military vet and gets free healthcare AND her family is in the states AND it’s her choice. What fam/friends/village would she have to help her postpartum? That is not a time for a woman to be without the love and support of her elders/blood relatives.
I just want to say that this page is amazing and i have learned a lot from you. Your love for Africa is amazing and it has helped change the perception people have in the west in regards to Africa. Regards from Nairobi, Kenya
Hey girl! Congratulations on the baby! I’m so glad I found your channel a couple of weeks ago. Keep being you.

Hope Offord-Powell I’ve just joined a FB group “Repatriation for Africans of the Diaspora (R.A.D)” that I’m enjoying. It’s positive and there are others whom also are working on moving to Rwanda.
