  • When light passes through prism, we notice different colors. Sun exhibits the same phenomenon. As light comes from the sun and reaches earth's atmosphere, each color interacts with gases, dust, water droplets differently. In the visible spectrum violet blue green have lower wavelengths ranging between 380nm to 570nm. These are scattered and diffused because of dust pollution and ashes caused by the wildfire in the upper atmosphere. Only the colors with higher wavelengths can reach earth's surface which are yellow orange and red (570nm to 750nm)
    Hence, making our skies orange or yellow
