Ike's "It'll be fine" is no BS. When his house floods out from a hurricane, how does he deal with it? Build a monster truck go cart of course! When Ike says it'll be fine, IT WILL BE FINE!!
Hope use are alright wish use luck and stay safe , love your videos guys . Use Inspired me to build a kart lol and the way use show how to do mods helps alot .
That looks cool just as it is. I would drive it like that - definitely unique looking. Pretty cool how yall are figuring how to convert it back and forth.
Hey guys i love this build and all but you change the front suspentio n a little and put another axle and make it awd/4x4 it would fit the theme of a jacked up truck. If you have trouble thinking of steering use the same design as a 4x4 would with the front drive shafts i know you guys can do it ya'll have done way crazier stuff with gokarts, for example boat-cart. I enjoy watching ya'lls videos and that would make this build more interesting.
Glad both you and your families are safe. used to live on the east coast so I completely understand, you will dry out and then your track will be perfect! Be safe John and Ike! and Ike, sorry about your property. it will dry out and to use a line: "It'll be fine!"
I think it would be a neat idea to fix some quick release latches to the top of the suspension so you can adjust on the fly so you can both have a comfy ride! looking awesome guys!! love ya work
I agree with hinging the body so you can lift it up, climb in easy, then lower the body. Especially since it's perfectly waist height to slide into I think it would look great and be functional. Also maybe get a CarsandCameras Badge made up to put on the body?
I can see Ike's face that he still has to pump out the horrible water from his house...that front suspension build is very cool. Also putting a nice racing car seat in it with racing seat belts would look cool.
If you all wanted to increase the speed on the monster truck go kart you could widen the rear which would make it much more stable. I wouldn't go any faster than 25mph though. Ike is a great engineer.
You guys are true headstrong staying with your progress. I live NO where near the oceans but it's a shame there's so many areas that are always in the path, but you have the most beautiful areas on earth so I guess that's the tossup. Great video and build.
No matter how hard I try to adopt the "It'll be fine" mentality during problems that life throws my way, I just can't.....and I envy Ike for that. The damage from the hurricane doesn't seem to have slowed him down. I can't imagine how that would have affected me!
Man, this build is crazy! I say put that 10 horse Honda clone on it with a torque converter, maybe a rear brake on that jack shaft and you'll have a mean machine!
Heya Guys! A little Machinist info for you. When drilling larger holes, always drill a "pilot" hole with a bit that's less than 1/2 the final hole diameter to lessen the impact on the tip of the larger bit. Think of it this way. Look at the tip of the large bit. You'll notice at the summit of the bit that the webbing has a thickness to it. Pilot drilling with a bit slightly larger than this webbing makes for much more efficient job with the larger bit and there is less chance of burning the metal you're drilling and dulling your drill bit. Great fab work guys! This is an awesome build to follow. Cheers! Zip~
Small tip you should take on for this project! Use stiffer springs on rear wheels and longer softer springs on front wheels. It will help with bottoming out on faster take off and acceleration plus softer front springs will help stay level if you hit any objects at fast or slow speeds keeping it more comfortable and safe.
Okay, please. PLEASE. Make the kart permanently JACKED up! You guys have plenty other slammed, fast go karts. Make a mud monster, I think the viewers would love that. Anyhow, continue with the sweet builds. And no matter what happens, I'll keep watching haha. Awesome job guys! Love the vids!
The trailing arm needs more cross bracing. May be easier to weld a plate on making it very stiff. After the suspension install I noticed the axle and trailing bar flex. It may bend when you add power. Great project and good to hear y'all survived the hurricane.
I like this project but I think I’ll feel better about it after the front spindle mounts are cut off and the rear jackshaft (old rear axle) is narrower. Good work so far can’t wait to se how it compares to the Murray or the Yerf Dog
I just ordered up a shirt and sticker pack last night. Can't wait to get them bad boys. Gonna toss em on the old YERF-DOG as soon as I get my dirty little hands on em. Start repping Carsandcameras here in the good ole washington state. Thanks for all the build videos guys!!
This is looking so sweet.you guys are doin an awesome job. So crazy I'm doin jacked up kart to just no suspention in the rear though. Might steal you guys plan lol
The $50 go kart was the first carsandcameras video I watched. Good to see its getting used again. Though I would have taken apart the front suspension and completely made a new frame like you did with the back to put the parts on so it fit the rest of the frame and looked better and probably performed better.
Just a thought I think the front of your monster truck is to Nero the wheels would be better a little farther out I build gokarts and mini bikes two you guys are a big inspiration
With that now having a high center of gravity, it will flip easy..u better putt an exo skeleton cage for roll or you will get hurt.! thanks y'all much love.!
When you put the engine on it the rear suspension will get a lot softer, maybe even too soft. Twin shocks on each side with the wilder angle would give you tons of travel...
Taking shape boys, for me though 1) leave the body off 2) don't compromise it to keep the $50 cart, you got plenty of carts - do this right 3) PLEASE put rollover protection on it, maybe even seatbelts
I'm trying to figure out how you are going to get in that thing once you put the body on. You might have to hinge the body in the back or front and lower it over you after you get in.
On the bottom of the shocks right under the spring there is a thing that has little slots and if you turn it that tightens up the shocks so you didn't have to change where they were.
My suggestion to lower the front end, would have been too make longer upper and lower control arms, that would have also widened the front to match the rear
I think this is now my second favorite build after the Rat Rod Wagon!
I completely agree.

Ike-nes on its best
He's my hero😍
I got a little bit of a rapey vibe from the last line😂
Thats just you.
P
Can't wait to see the truck when it's done!!!!!
Ike, you and John meeting, developing a friendship, and creating something uniquely special is a gift to You Tube...an unparalleled gift.
I'm wondering, if you could hinge the body up front, then you climb aboard and lower the body around you. Kinda like a gull-wing door.
pete schutza funny car dragster style?
Would hinge it in the rear like monster trucks and funny cars
Or like a funny car
HUGE THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO DONATED FOR HURRICANE RELIEF! You guys are AWESOME! Donations still needed, links are in video description!
Hope use are alright wish use luck and stay safe , love your videos guys .
Use Inspired me to build a kart lol and the way use show how to do mods helps alot .
Check out ratherbwelding's go karts
@@garlicbreadjenkins5780 2nd go kart channel I watch lol , great guy and made ideas he has .
CarsandCameras you should do Fridays to.
ask your president, only 3 missiles less would sort it all out ;)
That looks cool just as it is. I would drive it like that - definitely unique looking. Pretty cool how yall are figuring how to convert it back and forth.
This is shaping up to be my second favourite thing after the drag rail... Headlights in the truck shell though!
The top heavy lawnmower and the top heavy monster go kart, so ludicrous, I LOVE IT!
Steering stem bushing 😉 she is amazing guys you have to keep it big its just to cool!!!

Fun stuff guys, we are moving to a house with a garage and a workshop - ya'll are inspiring me to get some tools and get creative. Love it!
This thing is going to look awesome once it is done, heck it already looks awesome.
I can't wait to see this thing at Busco Beach.
Its gonna be AMAZING, That is if it doesnt flip ...
Dom Dom DOM!!!
I love watching y’all because you don’t take this stuff too seriously. Just a couple buds screwing around. Can’t wait to see the first run.
Glad both you and your families are safe. used to live on the east coast so I completely understand, you will dry out and then your track will be perfect!
Be safe John and Ike! and Ike, sorry about your property. it will dry out and to use a line: "It'll be fine!"
I am glad you guys fared well through the storm. Hope recovery goes well!
looks like fun... glad all things are good after the storm
I think it would be a neat idea to fix some quick release latches to the top of the suspension so you can adjust on the fly so you can both have a comfy ride! looking awesome guys!! love ya work
It's like a kids size swamp buggy! Awesome!! love this build!
put a 420 on it, you guys haven't done a whole lot of 420cc engines
You guys do realize you’re changing the go kart game with this build !! Watching 2 years later and taking notes thank u 2
I agree with hinging the body so you can lift it up, climb in easy, then lower the body. Especially since it's perfectly waist height to slide into I think it would look great and be functional. Also maybe get a CarsandCameras Badge made up to put on the body?
Can’t wait to see this monster run and drive.
After my comment on the first video of this build i can say this is my second favorite build after the dragster
Totally pumped for this build! Cant wait for the next episode!
This is an awesome build but you still have not talked about the DIESEL you are going to be putting in it. Glad you guys are safe after the hurricane.
This is awesome!! Glad you guys are safe and sound and back at it!
You guys do realize you are building a homemade Honda odyssey... Not the minivan but a 4 wheeled cart Honda sold in the early 80s.
Glad you guys weren't hurt by the hurricane. Great build btw
I can see Ike's face that he still has to pump out the horrible water from his house...that front suspension build is very cool. Also putting a nice racing car seat in it with racing seat belts would look cool.
you guys have inspired me for a couple years now and i finally got my own go kart. you also inspired me to make my own channel!
If you all wanted to increase the speed on the monster truck go kart you could widen the rear which would make it much more stable. I wouldn't go any faster than 25mph though. Ike is a great engineer.

You’ve got to make that thing loud! Definitely a straight pipe
Never stop what you guys do please.
When it floods again try to take the lifted go kart throught some of it i think yall should put the engine high so it can go trought deep water
That was the plan, but we weren't fast enough!
@@CarsandCameras i think that how high it is it might be able to pop a water wheelie if the back will sink that would be amazing
Love it. I'd just zip off all the $50 go-kart left overs (rear axle, front mounts, etc..) Viva la Monster Kart!
Can't wait to see the finished result. I've watched allot of y'alls videos. Have given me allot of ideas
No matter how hard I try to adopt the "It'll be fine" mentality during problems that life throws my way, I just can't.....and I envy Ike for that. The damage from the hurricane doesn't seem to have slowed him down. I can't imagine how that would have affected me!
After your done with this build I personally think you should do another 670cc chopper video just because, Thanks Samuel Moorman
Just a idea but making the body fold up would make it easier to get in for ike. Love the build dude's.
I love watching you guys videos I brings back some of my old teenager inventions I did. Keep it up guys love them.
@CarsandCameras glad you guys and your community are okay
Man, this build is crazy! I say put that 10 horse Honda clone on it with a torque converter, maybe a rear brake on that jack shaft and you'll have a mean machine!
This is already one of my favorite builds you guys have done!
I like you guys' style. Cutting, grinding, and welding within a few feet of fuel cans. I can't say much though, I do the same. Just mind your sparks
Once again, glad you guys are good. Love the bounce on this project.

Praise God everyone is ok
Startin' to look Awesome..! Luv Tha' Build...
You guys need to take this thing through a town parade when it's done! Would be great pr!
Without the body on it, it could be a 'Mad Max' kart, look forward to see this thing doing jumps!
Loving this build and way be swap out the from suspension out for new ones. keep up the good work!
Try flipping the front wheels around. Depending on how the backspacing is it will make it wider
Just stiffen the suspension. And put bigger tires on it to fill the gap. It will look mean!
Small tip you should take on for this project! Use stiffer springs on rear wheels and longer softer springs on front wheels. It will help with bottoming out on faster take off and acceleration plus softer front springs will help stay level if you hit any objects at fast or slow speeds keeping it more comfortable and safe.

This freaking sweet!! Have y'all thought about using a normal drive shaft setup so articulation can be your friend?
The monster truck looks amazing! But i really hope you change the four wheeler tyres to something similar to the rear. And im glad you are safe!
The trailing arm needs more cross bracing. May be easier to weld a plate on making it very stiff. After the suspension install I noticed the axle and trailing bar flex. It may bend when you add power. Great project and good to hear y'all survived the hurricane.
Coming together nice guys.. one suggestion would be a removable steering wheel to get in and out of easier
That set up all got for the front going to work
Can’t wait till you guys hit a million
This is giving me all sorts of awesome ideas
You should use the rear end of the atv and make a trike! Not a drift trike, like put it on the back of a mini bike at stock ride height
Mike Stroz they have a drift trike already
Derpydog 100 I'm saying not a drift trike, like an offroad trike. Take a mini bike frame, leave it at stock ride height with the atx rear axle
Something like stuntfreaksteam built.
bjørn solås Yeah, but a mini bike
So an atc79
That thing looks wicked!!
Should just fab a new frame with all the modding you did. Save the $50 kart.
They have subframe connectors so they can just remove the subframe and the $50 go-kart is back to normal
rc3291 I'm saying they are using Chinese front end from a cloister atv
Yeah why waste the time they could have just built it how they want it
Just deal with it 😒
@@pdavidwichner4285 daaaamn
Take the turns slow looks like it will flip easy. But I love it
Now that's looking awesome
Love it can't wait to see it all done
You guys should make a go kart with hydraulics or like air bags ive never seen it done i think it would be a pretty sick build
I like it. Looking forward to seeing it drive.

You should put a piano hinge on the back of the body so you can lift the front up like a funny car to get in it!!!!😃😎 that would be very cool !!!!
I want y'all to build a Lowrider gocart with Airbags sooo bad lol y'all dudes build some nice stuff 😄👌👏

Just a thought I think the front of your monster truck is to Nero the wheels would be better a little farther out I build gokarts and mini bikes two you guys are a big inspiration
Good to see you guys back at it.
See, now you have to dual shock it. That would look even more bad ass.
With that now having a high center of gravity, it will flip easy..u better putt an exo skeleton cage for roll or you will get hurt.! thanks y'all much love.!

I vote for tractor tires! That would be awesome!

1) leave the body off
2) don't compromise it to keep the $50 cart, you got plenty of carts - do this right
3) PLEASE put rollover protection on it, maybe even seatbelts

RIP the square body chevy if you know what I mean...
Put a Diesel on it you talked about putting it on the mower this would be awesome.
On drill bits you can use crisco. It's less messy than oil. A machinist told me that trick.
Glad u guys made it thru good👍👍👍
Love it guys!! Keep it up! I look forward to your videos every Monday and Wednesday
