Here's another tip. Holding block prevents you from turning around when an opponent appears behind you. This means when your opponent vanish assaults you or high speed maneuvers behind you, if you read it, you can release block and turn around automatically in time to start hitting them before their attack comes out. You can also turn around fast enough to perception counter them
@@Taigen419 the best time to Dragon dash behind someone (especially online with lag) is while they're charging ki. While doing this there are basically recovery frames once you let go of the button. Knowing this, as soon as someone starts charging ki, I Dragon dash behind them. I also start charging ki and stop early in order to bait people into Dragon dashing me when I predict that they will

IMPORTANT: You forgot one of the most important ones, hard knockdown recovery! Hard knockdown can be done from many different attacks, rush-chains, supers or combos, one of the most common ones I see is the lift strike to air combo follow-up, if this isn't stopped, and the whole air combo lands you'll be put into 'hard knockdown' state. All hard knockdown states have the same recovery afaik, and you'll know when you're in hard knockdown if your character does a little twirl after being hit and you can't seem to recover until after you hit the ground or something else happens. The way to recover from hard knockdown is rather simple actually, during the twirl animation you must simply flick down and up on your analogue or d-pad (depending on what you use to move), and this will recover you from one of the harshest punishments in the game. The higher up in the air you are, the harsher it is, allowing either you or your opponent to charge ki, use supers, switch, use skills, transform, etc. If you fail to recover from hard knockdown, I don't think you can even use the Z-counter vanish to evade supers, nor use super counter to interrupt anything, its that punishing. I believe its also achieved if you or your opponent fail to stop 2 rush chains use back to back in quick succession.

@@shanethewise but they can also get out of back turn with the mechanics
Lore accurate Dragon Ball fights 🗿, the best way to approach offense and combos would be to do safe combos behind your opponent
A safe combo means that it's not using anything vanishable or Z counterable, making Super Counter and Skills the only way to escape the combo
The issue with that is this only allow for very short combos if you want to be fully safe, unless Rush Reset Cancel is also in this game, i have yet to find one that works but i will still try (and i'm sure the competitive players from BT3 are also trying to figure this out)
Goatwanger sparking content?
you cant block the low or high step in attack, literally tried it with 2 different friends and you cant block it. Please tell me im missing something
You on standard???
I use Classic but Standard seems to be better
+1
Highs and lows in this game aren't real, lol. Definitely doesn't function or have the severe consequences of a real fighting game.
LMAO don’t be stupid
tbh I don't understand the hype for this game and y someone would rather play this than fighterZ
Because your a shitter
you don't need to buddy the real ones will find out what the hype is ab u can stick to dbfz
You can fly I’m sold
I feel ya. The game is fun and flying feels great, but everyone feels same-y while DBFZ really brought out each characters traits and personality.
@@Giru Are u kidding.. on release pretty much every character was the same. The same BnB, same mix, same playstyle etc. It's only after discovering tech and several balance patches that they differentiated.
Thank you for always preheating the food before cooking 🫡
