This song proves to me that music is memories, whether they are bad or good. And how people interpret songs is so vastly different, which is good. All songs have a meaning from a writer's perspective but the listener can interpret it so differently and that's what I love about music and especially Rise Against.
I think people should stop worrying about how mainstream something is and just enjoy what sounds good. So what, the production on their albums went up. They still have good songs with engaging melodies and well-written lyrics. They may have gotten huge and entered the public eye, but even though they're playing shows on massive stages for thousands of people they're still playing small shows like these under different names.
