As someone who bounced from Catholicism to Protestantism to Catholicism again, Luther’s doctrines have been some of the greatest plagues to ever come to the world.
That being said, the Immaculate Heart will triumph and we will one day see the full world come together in peace and prosperity. Amen.

I long a go read the writing of Luther to gain insight and when I found how crude and foul he was, I was a still is perplexed that people would follow him. I can’t wait to read the book!
I know right? I am an extremely crude man and he makes me look like St Teresa of Avila 😮
Erasmus, originally an ally, broke from Luther early on and was aghast at the abuses of the "reformers" - worse than those they condemned.
Can you remember how you found what you read or title(s) I can search for. Thank you so much ✝️
I love my Catholic faith. I feel extremely excited for the Eucharist.
This discussion is by far one of the singularly most exciting video I have seen in years. I was partially raised in Germany and saw the Lutheran church there. Upon returning to the USA, I attended a Lutheran college and seminary - much to the consternation of the professors. They were livid when I mentioned that Luther prayed a full 15 decades of the rosary on his deathbed but, the fact was dismissed as "a moment of weakness". Years later, it occurred to me that the professors were very keen at fabricating excuses for his behaviors. It was also realized that we were intentionally kept from reading Luther's Works - except for specific quotes. One of them was in regards to the violence in his parent's home; however, it was limited to a single circumstance. We were taught that his parents moved to the next town over & that old Johann (Martin's Father) had changed the family name from Luder to Luther but, no explanation was forthcoming. Eventually, it was learned that Johan had killed a man in his native town so, he skipped out & got to the next town which, was literally a different country. So, Martin was raised in what we now consider an anti-social family, prone to violence. Fr. Nixon's description perfectly fit Luther's character and I am looking forward to reading the book. BTW, I was in a Benedictine Abbey in Alabama and so, feel a bit of kinship. Thank you again for your outstanding work. Pax
Seminaries are scams. I've never met a Lutheran that is against the rosary but not all use it.
Somehow Luther and Lucifer just seem to pair up really well and personally they rhyme perfectly to me too 😂😂😂

Luther's life is a reverse of Saint Augustin. Personally, I pray that Martin Luther is extremely grateful for purgatory.
Sister Clotilde Micheli (1849-1911), also known as Sister Maria Serafina of the Sacred Heart, received on November 10, 1883 a vision of Martin Luther tormented in hell due to his sin of pride.
He killed his best friend in a dual, then went to hide in the monastery to avoid the civil authorities.
Luther also called for the murder of Priests...
He wasn,t a friend of the Jews either
I just heard about this from an exorcist, Fr Chad Ripperger. He wasn’t afraid of lightning, HE KILLED HIS BEST FRIEND IN A DUEL!
He literally went into a nunery and took a nun as his wife. A more worldly man you could not hope to meet. Worst priest ever.
I'm glad this was brought up. Fr.Ripperger recently mentioned this in one of his talks and I had to research this thoroughly. the Brave search engine had nothing close to this belief. I found writings in AltaVista regarding this event. THe Protestant viewpoint refuted this accusation.
Luther did not destroy the Church's belief in Purgatory because it is in the Bible.
Christ must be sad to how people have ruptured the unity of his Church.
HE TOOK MANY PEOPLE TO HELL WITH HIM
And purgatory
But God used our Lady of Guadalupe to convert more than what was lost.
Calvin is far more important for Catholics to know about , since the Baptist church is completely set in his teachings.
He was just as bad. A really awful, hateful person.
@@cianmoriarty7345 true that!
That's completely false. Calvin is responsible for the Reformed churches such as the Presbyterian churches. He didn't deny infant baptism or efficacy of the sacrament of baptism.
However a branch of Baptists adapted his soteriology partly, which are called Reformed Baptists. But they are not "Calvinists" in the strict sense, besides their view or predestination and denial of libertarian free will.

Martin Luther wanted the final sacraments on his deathbed and his converts didn't allow it.
He would have no use for the washed out beliefs of his followers today in their fast disappearing denomination.

Excommunication has a tendency to produce that result.
Enjoyed the video but felt it lacked species regarding the allegations presented. The main thrust seems to be that Luther wanted to rise in the Catholic church structure and when this was not successful, he went after the church in a crude manner. The comments provide some specifics to support the allegations but the talk is sparse with specifics.
As a Catholic, I have been critical of Protestant Pastors who append some of their good work with tirades against the Catholic Church and making Luther somewhat of an idol. I searched the internet finding most works heralded Luther. However, I discovered a Luther pamphlet titled “The jewJews and their lies” which only was in German. Luther appeared to be a role model for Hitler.
Would recommend doing another video summary stories of thing Luther did to support allegations.

"Luther" was not even his true name.
His father's name was "Luder" which is literally the german word for "snake". Because that name was obviously not fit to build a career upon, he changed his name into "Luther" from the greek word "eleutheros" which means "free man" and that sounded a whole lot better for someone who set out to "free" the catholic world from it's "errors".

I undersand that there are elements of the Lutheran Church in Europe that the Vatican still recognize their bishops that are in union with Rome?
Some Finnish Lutherans claim to have kept the apostolic succession through the laying on of hands. I was told this by a Finnish Lutheran "priest." He said they also address their pastors with a term similar to "father." Today Lutheranism is kind of a mess with its own competing sects (synods) and different forms of church governance...which I'm guessing isn't too "important" because Sola Scriptura. I grew up Lutheran and converted to another synod and they made me go through "confirmation" again. Super weird that confessional Lutherans are "the true Western Church now!" but can't get in the same pews or accept a confirmation from another conservative synod.
Ah ya... Some Anglicans claim that too.
The fact is that for protestants their priests don't have valid holy orders to perform communion.
That's not to deny that they receive Jesus in a spiritual way. But it's not at all full, Catholic communion.
@@jayguevara6153 If succession is so DANGED important, so necessarty, so sought after, why aren't they Catholic? They want to have their cake and eat it too? If they are not loyal to Rome and have changed the ordination rite, they have vitiated the union, same as King Edward did with the Anglicans.
You understand wrongly.
There is the mythical "Dutch touch" in which some sort of succession was transferred, but that it illicit, as it was done by those already condemned for teaching heresy.
Isn't that "stolen valor" so to speak?
Compare and contrast the writings of the saints and that of luther; enough said.
I have a book by father Hartmann Grisar s.j who was the professor of the university of Innsbruck. He wrote a very detailed biography of Martin Luther using both Catholic and protestant sources. It was originally I believe in seven volumes. The one I have was condensed and the original was in German. I have an English copy I have not come across a French coffee which I would like so much to come across. Other than that, this sounds like a fantastic book as well. God bless.
I have had innumerable arguments with our Protestant brothers and sisters. And I am sad to say that their theology is so wanting. Amounting to palpable heresy. Can someone adhering to the Protestant heresy still find sanctifying grace?
Sometimes she I offend God, I spend money to a religious non profit company as a reparation to complete my confession and make it deeper
Correction: When I offend God instead of she I offend God
Where did You found original book?
lets get to the point.Luther had a mental condition obsessive compulsive disorder. He would go to confession five times a day about sexual sins.In the end he self medicated and said a stupid thing...as long as you believe you will be saved. He also had venereal disease which he almost certainly gave to his wife. The reason that his new religion took off was that the German princes could steal billions from the church by setting up their own religion
for me anyway when an argument starts to rely on ad hominem statements then it is already diminished.
Fr. Gregory Hesse did a great video on the monster. It's called Martin Luther saint or sinner. It is still on u tube to listen to.
Martin Luther may be one of Satan's greatest achievements, when you consider all of the consequences
I don't believe that Vatican 1 had occurred prior to Martin Luther - which describes a time of an ungoverned/not regimented Catholic Church; meaning - by today's standards of Christ's humility and infinite mercy, this analysis is spot on. By the standard of the time, not so much. (The point I'm making is : the translation of as applied by today's standards is heinous; At the time it was written, the people or scholars of the time didn't have adequate knowledge of the Bible to make such analysis. The roles of the priesthood were unsubstantiated. He came on to the scene right after the invention of the printing press (I.e. the printing of the Bible - the lay person, now has immediate access to God's word and it's interpretation/misinterpretation). A priest's behavior at that time wasn't as aligned En Person-um Christi as is in today's world.
Dear Catholics, Martin Luther did all of this because, we ,catholics lived a horrible example, thats the real reason also today, many born again christians end up away from catholic church. So be honest and look, that many if not all church separations, were caused by love for money and love for this world, love for easy life and not cross, which was comming from us.
Luther being a prime example of someone who ended up "away from the Catholic church".
@@KitiwakeI agree, and that was a fail of catholics of that age.

Andrew Lang, a Scottish Protestant historian writing in the 19th century, revealed the truth about the Protestant Reformer John Knox being an agent of Protestant England who undermined the Catholic Church in Scotland along with George Buchanan in a very similar manner to Martin Luther. A very large obelisk stands in the village of Kilearn Argyle is a Masonic monument dedicated to Buchanan who along with Knox schooled the young King James VI who was to become the first king of Britain. Andrew Lang’s reputation was ruined by the Protestant Masonic Establishment as a result of revealing the truth. Andrew Lang also wrote an excellent book on St. Joan de Arc that corresponds to her testimony given during her trial that a Scot painted her banner that depicts The Holy Trinity. Luther was an evil man who has left lasting damage throughout the world.
The book is the Devil' bagpipes, but who is the author please?
James Laing is the author. Fr. Nixon here did the translation.
Thanks
translating books is not important. Because the source of Christian spiritual books at that time was in the Vatican and came from the early church fathers and the successors of the church and they were the Pope. While Luther was under the Pope. Luther had to obey the Pope. And all books and knowledge about Jesus Christ came from the Catholic church centered in Rome. Those of you who do not believe and are not Catholics certainly do not speak carelessly and damage data about the truth.
I am Catholic but I Fear we are spining a littel ourselfs on this issue
I like your videos but I feel disappointed with this one since I expected some mention about purgatory in the interview. Can you please make a video on why Protestants deny the existence of purgatory?
ST. POPE JOHN PAUL II: “Can God, who loves man so much, permit the man who rejects him to be condemned to eternal torment? The silence of the church is, therefore, the only appropriate position for Christian faith. Even when Jesus says of Judas, the traitor, ‘It would be better for that man if he had never been born’ (Mt. 26:24) his words do not allude for certain to eternal damnation.”
I've heard that word before. What's a pergatory?

His birth name "Luder" wasn't going to cut it for him.

As a Lutheran rn dicerning Catholism, indulgences were a horriable thing, its may have been that way, but priest and laity specially laity could have taken it the wrong way, and clearly they prob did. The Catholic Church at times in history was infested with all sorts of things, same with many classic Protestant denominations cobcerning liberalism and such.
Its hard, its not as slam dunk as people paint it to be in the comments.

Just like Lucifer was to the Church in Heaven, so was Luther was to the Church on earth
Luther was a mere Augustinian monk. Lucifer was the highest of the Cherubim and master of music.
So I'm Lutheran but not because I knew anything really about Luther before besides very basic history. I though know there is no purgatory just from reading scripture. Hear me out when Jesus was on the cross he told the thief today you will be with me in heaven. So either Jesus shows there is no purgatory or the catholic church is saying that Jesus is an un just in his judgements.
What scripture are you reading?
You're probably not aware of the book of Macchabees 2.
A book which Luther relegated to an appendix at the back of the original Lutheran bible and later protestants dropped completely.
I suggest you do more research.
Btw, i don't see your point about the thief on the cross.
How does that relate to purgatory?
