Its so cool watching the whole timelapse of how you overlapped things very nicely. When it comes to manipulations like these , I always struggle in finding the idea. Like how would you come to a conclusion of "This is what I will make". Most of the time when I think of something original , I am not able to land on anything.
What helps me is to just do a sketch. Really simple doodles and general placement to serve as your loose blueprint. Dont think little details. Largest to smallest makes it much easier to digest. Think of the little touches of detail as the sprinkles on a cake that come last :)
What i do is that i just come up with an idea and make a rough design and then just start adding stuff that comes to my mind while im editing. Listening to music really helps and gives you great ideas
