If it's too expensive you could check the water quality yourself after 2 months using a test kit (kaffeemacher sells a nice one). That way you can keep using the filter as long as possible. I use a Brita filter and it lasted longer than the nr of litres it said in the manual. Just make sure to keep the reservoir clean and be mindful of any bacterial growth.
Far superior to using floppy plastic pipes, for more sales this is an essential as anyone looking at buying a machine checking forums quickly gets dissuaded by those who think you need a reverse osmosis machine or a zero filter and then have to mix chemicals to restore some taste to the water. Include it in the box like lelit then you can keep selling the cartridges that's if they make it to the UK as it's almost impossible here to buy ECM or Profitec accessories as they're permanently out of stock.

Oh die Reparatur einer verkalkten Maschine wäre wesentlich teurer als ein Jahr Wasserfilter 😉

Aren't these just the Brita Intenza filters being packaged by ECM and sold for a premium? Once you have the adapter, they seem to be interchangeable.
