I didn't show Nightjar campsite as the folks camping there were taking a nap the first time and busy the second and then I forgot about it. It's also a nice exclusive camp but a little smaller than the others. Hope you enjoy the rest of the episode!
Nice video as always. Enjoyed the first Namibia episode as well
Thanks Robert!
Fantastic review with great footage as always! Nice to see Mrs. Get Out Go making another guest appearance 😊
PS. I’m now craving scones with strawberry jam 😂
Thanks Mr. Snyman! I have soft spot for scones 😋
Since living in the cape i so miss our bush camping...
There are some nice camps in the Cederberg, Tankwa etc but it's not bushveld obviously
Thank you for the video. I didn't know about this place although my home town is Mokopane. I will definitely go to this place. Great editing
Thanks, yes it’s an awesome spot!
I finally got to watch one of these from Johannesburg rather than damp grey London. As always most enjoyable and informative.
Thanks Michael! Give me a shout on Instagram if you’re around for a coffee this week sometime!
Great video as usual. Many thanks again for posting. Greetings from Ireland 🇮🇪
Thanks Damian!
Hi Chris, the shelter and built in braai always makes camping easier and is something all camping areas should consider where practical.
Hi! Interestingly, I actually prefer sites that just have a fire pit on the ground and natural shade. I think it depends on how you camp
Great video! We stayed there for a couple of nights in 2019, loved it! Great host! One of our favorite campsites in SA
Hi Chris, again a great, informative and "rustige" video, thanks. Would you mind sharing how, & with what settings you made the time-lapse clips in the evenings? Jou posts laat my rêrig verlang na die SA natuur, bosveld, laeveld, Natal veld en kuslyn. Baie dankie, groete uit Duitsland.
Thanks Christof realy nice
Chris, thank you, as usual well done…..
Thanks Johann!
Lekker!! Lyk rustig en goeie plek vir ‘n stil wegbreek!
💯 baie rustige plek!
Thanks Chris, this is my favourite getaway, I love the freedom to drive or walk wherever you want. And the owner Alan is a champion. 🇿🇦🌹
Yup, it’s a magic spot!
Great review Chris and the Jimny provided a cherry on top. 🙌🏼
Thanks Johannes. Watch this space concerning Jimny’s, I have a future video planned… 🤔 😉
@@GetOutGO 🤩🙌🏼
Really enjoyed it there, I need to make a return trip! Alan really went out his way to make us welcome👌 Thanks for a great show❤️
My pleasure! Yup, Alan is an amazing host!
Looks like a very relaxing place for a short getaway. Keep up you excellent videos
Thanks Doug, yup, it’s a great getaway spot!
@@GetOutGO Glad I can help through Patreon
Waiting 😁👏💯
Awesome as always
Thanks!
Another great video - thanks Chris. Looks like a good place to visit.
Thanks Alan! Yes, it’s a great place to relax!
C-Gear mats are the best, I've been using them for years here in Australia and can't recommend them highly enough. Great choice Chris 👏
Agreed, I really like them!
Can you do one of cango caves, outshourn , knysna, George area went there as a kid would love to see it again. Now in UK left Zambia in 1973 wish I hadn't!!!!
The Western Cape is quite far from me (i.e. Knysna is a 1200km drive) so I don’t visit often.
Thanks for a great video!
My pleasure Con!
Very nice video thanks
Thanks Kobus!
Cool video! Need to visit that place again!
Thanks Henk!
@@GetOutGO plesier 👍🏻
#Afrika from morocoo💚❤👍👌👑👏💪
Nice one!
Thanks!
Coming Africa in about three years time when hubby retires, I will hopefully be a fit 70 year old, how easy is it to access a roof top tent or would we be better in a camper van?
Hi Nola, if you struggle physically at all I wouldn’t recommend a rooftop tent. Having said that there is an 80+ year old lady traveling SA in a rooftop 😉. There are great camper options (like the Alu-Cab Khaya) or an off-road trailer or even just a good ground tent like an Oztent RV3.
Please introduce us to your companion, on your trip. Thank you for the tour, would love to come to Africa, camp, soak up that night Sky””
That’s Venessa, my wife (she’s not crazy about the camera 😂). Africa is very dangerous… in the sense that once you visit you won’t want to leave! 😉
Your front left hub cap is missing.
I know 😂 Toyota parts are expensive!
Pse acknowledge your partner. Otherwise a great video 👍👍👍👏🏻
🤷♂️
Hi. Eks mal oor jou videos. Snaakse vraag waar het jy jou hoed gekoop?😂
Hi, dankie! Dis n driza-bone, gekoop in Aus. Hulle maak ongelukkig nie meer hoede nie 😢. Soortgelyke hoed is Akubra maar hulle pryse is mal!
@@GetOutGO Baie dankie, sal hopelik eendag mekaar vas loop by n kamp.
Chris, which chars are those you use?
They are @NaturehikeOfficialStore high back hiking chairs; www.naturehike.co.za/products/high-back-folding-moon-chair
@@GetOutGO great, will take a look now
Incidentally, here is a full list of the gear I use as well getoutgo.co.za/gear/
@@GetOutGO great, I just joined your patron page first… :) wanted to do for a while but forget every time… We are very similar in overlanding habits :) just doing our own thing…
That's not camping ... camping is tent and shovel
We like those places too ruclips.net/video/RAvedelg6UA/видео.html
such a pity the country has got so dangerous for tourists mostly as they are targeted,to think before 1994 0ne could sleep in a tent at camping spots, hitchhike alone through the country,
This can be said for many places in the world at the moment unfortunately. SA is by no means a warzone either; be aware of your surroundings in busy towns and cities, stay out of some areas (check with locals). We have had no issues in places like this though.
