I think this could also imply how much of a threat Sans was in general, people tend to view Sans as weak and an easy boss fight after some practice but that removes the entire point of Sans' fight imagine trying to beat Sans on your first try, no fan games, no training, no muscle memory 1 attempt sans was exceptionally strong given the circumstance and if faced against him with 1 attempt they would lose. Sans even says in his fight he isn't really giving it all, his fight is only hard enough to the point where most players need many attempts to complete effectively forcing the player to reflect on the unfairness of the predicament Sans faces, knowing he cant do anything to stop the human while also wanting to annoy them enough to quit. signed lancer (it took me the exact length of the song to write this)

Even without headphones i noticed many leitmotifs like Reunited, Retribution, obviously Megalo Strike Back, and others that I don't remember the name of right now
i personally think it works, with the whole "pick on" or "dont pick on" depending on its sprite, it fits the idea of boyfriend taking certain things very differently depending on situation or looks (for example.. how hes scared of lightning but not scared of sudden roars in mods, just because that boyfriend looks different)

Toriel, then Papyrus, then Undyne, then Alphys, then Sans, then Asgore. Also, when Sans and Asgore die, Chara/Frisk frowns, possibly Frisk expressing remorse over killing Sans, or Chara being sad over killing her father.
As the person who did the sprite recreation for the opening Im happy someone pointed this out! Additional fun fact: due to the original end screen being strangely low resolution in undertale, each scribble was manually recreated by yours truly! (This is also how the individual crossing out was done.)

I imagine that through all these songs, as Chara continually tries to take down BF, they see that BF is the most tenacious enemy they ever came up against. They seem to take even longer than the first time Sans was fought and seems to manage to change things up enough that they are actually surprised a little. Chara: Just makes it all the better when I win. =)
