I want to organize a GIGANTIC PAINTBALL BATTLE ROYALE with thousands of players invited from all over the world at that location!

Honestly I feel like this would have found more success if
A: the designs were less monotonous. Even if the design of the house was pretty, looking at it 500+ times makes it ugly and obscene
B: amenities were placed before construction. Look at those shotty power lines, half asses sewer connections, and poor roads
C: better location, and with that a more realistic outlook.

This video is a small piece to understand why Turkiye is on the verge of bankruptcy today. Foreign investments and resources that flocked to Turkiye between 2004 and 2013 were spent on such unnecessary, unreasonable infrastructure projects. Most of the infrastructure projects were projects that did not provide returns and did not provide resources. While the world is investing in Artificial Intelligence automation systems and Industry 4.0, Turkiye is currently unable to make these investments due to the waste of resources in the past and is falling behind the world.

Good observation. However, Turkey is not on the verge of bankruptcy because it has no dollar reserves. It is in this situation because the banks are full of dollar deposits instead of TL due to the love of the Turks for dollars. Of course, this situation is crazy and the measures taken cannot stop the local people. They say that if we do not have money, we will take out a loan from the bank. Because they were used to getting loans with very low interest rates. Now everyone, rich or not, is paying the penalty for this. We are the country that pays the highest interest in the world. The other interesting part is that we have always paid off these debts for 100 years and we have never gone bankrupt.

This whole project gives the same vibes as stupid mega UAE projects funded by petrodollars. Seriously, what even does "Burj Al Babas" mean? It kinda makes me feel good that it failed, I hope investors learn from their mistakes and maybe stop funding these soulless stupid projects that look like as if they were designed by someone playing simcity with infinite money hacks.

In Türkiye there are more projects like this that are made by thinking that "Rich arab people are buying anything, just make a stupid project with CGI renders we can't accomplish and try to trick them lol." and they all look like soulless crap with fancy make-up.
