  • This video goes over the two earliest perspectives in modern psychology: structuralism and functionalism.
I talk about the focus of those perspectives and how they have influenced the modern science of psychology.
    Topics discussed include:
    Structuralism
    Wilhelm Wundt
    Introspection
    Functionalism
    Natural Selection's influence on Functionalism

Really great video! Have an exam in History of Psychology in an hour and just cramming some last minute stuff. Really like the straightforward and ‘simple’ format of the video. Not over the top or trying to grab your attention with huge transitions.
    Thanks a lot!

Awesome! I am so happy you found my channel. Huge coincidence, but I was actually some of Dorothy Rowe's work for my upcoming videos on social psychology and depression. She's such a great psychologist and I love trying to move away from an overly American dominated viewpoint.
