A half foot taller Steph Curry passing like Magic Johnson with a drive to win like Bill Russell, playing as Small Forward. Without the back injury, he would have stolen at least one of Jordan's rings. If Larry Bird isn't in your GOAT consideration, he ought to be.
Just rewatched, just cuz.. and at about 4:30 Bird dribbles through his legs before passing it off. No fanfare, no look at me, just ordinary keeping the ball away from the defender stuff. At about 14:30, I was reminded again of how Bird didn’t back off; he wasn't _intimidated_ by Laimbeer's antics. Right back at it, close enough to catch *another* elbow if Laimbeer thought third time might be the charm. (The same with being slammed by Dominique. Boom but Bird wasn't intimidated by it. Did appreciate the competition of it tho. 🙂 ) Just my 2 cents. 😏
