Great discussion! I've wanted to hear Eastern Orthodox and Charismatic in dialogue. In my opinion the weakest point of Evangelical/Charismatic movement as a whole is the lack of robust and practical ascetic theology. There are some pockets here and there (like the spiritual formation movement), but problem is that these things are not taught and caught in large scale.
I consider myself a evangelical contemplative charismatic, and pentecostal charismatic, the 2 different church ss I attended are Open Heavensworld Assembly, which is pentecostal neo-charusmatic , an the other is called Rockharbor Church, C.Measa CA, has its roots in evangelical church, which leans towards contemplative charismatic practices which are similar to the Vineyard churches
