Hi Richard - HNY to you also. Really enjoy your videos - especially Mull. We bumped into each other on Mull a couple of times a couple of years ago while you were on route to a different location with Sophie B and we chatted at that location the following day. I have been to the location in this current video many many times and had some wonderful wildlife encounters - divers, sand martins and various waders etc but never seen an otter so good on you for persistence. I am in Mull this coming may so will say hello if convenient at the time. All the best for your tours.
@@kimwedgbury8518 Hey, happy new year! I hope you are well and thanks so much for continuing to watch the videos. I will probably see you in May. All the best ☺
Congratulations getting to see those otters and those images were beautiful 👍. As always another wonderful and enjoyable video to watch. Wishing you a Happy New Year Richard 🎉
Another excellent video and images. I envy your mobility. Looking at the terrain you were in I suspect I would struggle to even stay upright 😂. 20, 15 or 10 years ago I'd have been in my element stalking over those rocky beaches. Even 5 years ago I'd have been in with a decent chance but sadly I know now I would find it a considerable challenge. The mustelids are certainly my favourite group of mammals and otters are right up there in the ranks of sightings that totally lift my spirits. Best wishes and a Happy New Year to you and your family.
Hi Richard. Love your videos and think that the clips in super widescreen give a cinematic touch. Hope at some point in the future to have the opportunity to support you by participating in a workshop, who knows maybe this year. Keep up the good work it's a mystery you don't have many thousands more subscribers but keep up the good work mate. Greetings from Finland
Happy New Year Rich and what a wonderful video to watch on a wet and windy start to 2025. The images and footage you captured were truly special. Can’t wait to see more.
The daylight bit was almost the toughest bit as you only get the one tide. I'm heading back up in two weeks so that'll be a bit colder but I reckon back then it was light enough by 9am and too dark by 5pm. Hope you're well and happy new year
@@mywildlifeimages that will be interesting to see the difference over time, happy new year mate hopefully ill bump into you at some point in 2025 haha
Happy New Year and thank you for your support in 2024. Apologies for the patchy audio at points, better audio coming in 2025... 😉

i always thought that winter on Mull would be brutal but this looks somewhat survivable. how much daylight do you get there in the colder months?
