Moses had his hands full for sure, but heart is something you can’t teach. Through hustle and sheer will he had a much better second half then first!

      Moses was Hakeem s mentor

  • @ckobo84

Moses was past his prime at like age 28. Depended so much on work, hustle and energy. He was like the opposite of Kareem and Duncan who relied purely on mechanics and aged very well.

    • @skybarwisdom
      @skybarwisdom 5 месяцев назад +2

Uh no. At 28 he averaged 22 points 13.5 rebounds 1.5 blocks averages, All Star- 2nd Team All NBA-10th MVP- 12th DPOY with 5 more All Star years ahead of him and 4 more years in MVP voting. Far from past his prime.

I like Malone's outlet passes. Am sure they generated fts and easy buckets more than a few times.
Awesome to see big fellas who are tremendous rebounders, and then they can lob it hard in no time at all.

80s’ games were really fun to watch. The most boring era was probably late 90s to 2010. Star players were great but the ball movement was bad.

    • @70sfan

I think every era has its exciting and boring aspects. The one you mentioned has Tim Duncan and the Spurs, which is my favourite team of all time for example.

Besides the top 3 teams each year, every era kind of sucks. The 80s were lucky they had Bird/Magic and their stacked teams to carry the league back then. It’s hard to get people to want to come to work

This commenter is right. Both conferences were generally competitive in the 80s. It wasn't a 4 team league by any means.
The late 90s to around 05 were a bit of a feeling out period for the NBA as a new generation of talent took over. There were serious concerns among NBA officials about viewership and low scores.
Then they focused on increasing movement and spacing. The NBA still went through a strange period from '06 through 2018 as much of the attention was drawn in through storylines moreso than quality play.
I.e Lakers vs Celtics, The Heatles, The Curry phenomenon, and Lebron's return to Cleveland. Overall basketball wasn't great from top to bottom during this period but the storylines were always there.
The current era from 2019 to present has been compared to the 70s. Nationally the NBA viewership isn't doing that well, but there are many quality teams in both conferences now which has been great for regional fan bases.

Malone is the Mentor/Ball Father of Great Players like Hakeem Olajuwon & Charles Barkley. All 3 were in this Game.
“The Octobull” One of his nicknames. Averaged 26 points per game Against Kareem Abdul-Jabbar his Entire Career. Destroying him in clutch moments like in. 1981 Regular season & Playoffs.

@@TheGr8-1 😂😂 True that bro, it is more like around to be fair since Chuck was father away & didn’t attempt to contest it.
Seeing Akeem/Hakeem do this (leap dunk move) anytime is a gem since he didn’t do it as much as his footwork & Post moves in my opinion. But it’s just as if not more effective 🤣💯
Houston Guard Vernon Maxwell describes Hakeem’s Strength as “Slicing a Overly thick piece of meat with those hands” ☠️☠️☠️☠️

I know sampson real height is 7'1-7'2 but At 0.55 you can see sampson towering Bobby jones who is 6'9- 6'10 like if he was a real 7'4...
