Mark, your comment about going on road trips with your parents immediately brought a lump to my throat. You are so blessed. THEY are so blessed & lucky. (LOVE the boxing gloves !!) At your age, to have found how to “be happy” by sharing the beauty of Newfoundland and leaving drama aside is what WE are all benefitting from. Thank you !
I worry about the future like anyone else, but I’m proud of my ability to appreciate the present, at least sometimes. When I’m in the car with mom and dad (or as you’ll see over the next few months, with my wife and kids) exploring Newfoundland, there’s not a thing in the world that makes me feel more at peace. It really is my greatest joy.

LOL...my students always would tell me that I was "different"! But yea, I get it not caring much for hockey for even Game of Thrones...you're singing in my choir now! lol I'd love to go on one last road trip with my mom and dad...we did some awesome ones in my motorhome to PEI, Cape Breton and even Maine...but just one more... I'm one that really doesn't handle drama well any more at all...that is what I am way too old for now! We really do all need to be real for ourselves...and you hit the nail directly on the head...time IS precious!! Thanks for this!!

He really loves that hat too. I don’t think I ever met anyone who went to St Pats that doesn’t look back on the place fondly. I miss it myself and my only connection was bowling there as a little kid and playing basketball there in elementary

I left social media for a year because I could not stand the negativity, anger, general stupidity which left me at times with so much anxiety. Now I look for videos such as yours that leave me with happiness, joy, excitement about place, things . So don’t ever stop doing what you do because it does make a difference.
Ps nothing wrong with being a bit weird as it makes life fun .
I basically can't stand social media because of the silly/stupid things you mention but these videos are my attempt to dilute the system with something different. I'm so glad they reach at least a few of my fellow weirdos!

We have a very similar story. Both married Asians, both love wrestling ( I still watch the old stuff from the 80's & 90's....lol ),both try to get home as much as we can with our children, and both have Elderly parents....lol. Love seeing pictures of Twillingate. We may not always agree but no sense in getting nasty. Keep up the great work. Cheers from the North.

6 foot 4 , 250 lbs , I'm glad I didn't complain about your cap and ear rings .... well mostly I didn't complain because I didn't notice lol. Yeah even with my little channel I get the odd negative comment most times I totally ignore , occasionally I agree with them (that sometimes screws them up lol) occasionally I try to explain why I said or did something and if it all else fails I just drop them , like you said I'm definitely too old for this lol. Why anyone would care if you wear an earing or choose to wear a ballcap is beyond me. Hopefully they watched the video and realized there is so much more to life then worrying about what someone else chooses to wear. Keep doing what makes you happy because we are all enjoying your videos!!!

Someone actually took the time to "call out" a man wearing a cap indoors and having pierced ears?
Sounds like he hasn't looked around at people very much. What an odd guy.
You take your hat off in certain situations, such as entering a church or eating a meal at a restaurant or the singing of a national anthem. But he's gonna be real upset with life if he expects to never see hats worn indoors anywhere.
As for earrings, I guess he also can't take Michael Jordan, Harrison Ford, Morgan Freeman and a pile of other pretty damn successful men serious.
I wouldn't be too concerned about being "taken serious" by that guy.

I did actually do a double take when I first saw the comment (exaggerated for effect in my opening scene reenactment, of course). I am actually thankful for the comment... it instantly gave me the idea to create this video. This might have been the most fun I ever had making a video.

As for the Braves… that’s kind of a mandatory rite of passage for anyone in my immediate family. Dad was a huge Hank Aaron fan and it carried forward to present day. We never had a choice 😂

3 reasons: 1) it’s the greatest logo in the history of sports; 2) I’ll support any local team, especially when they have a logo this sweet; and 3) they did have a basketball team for 15 minutes!
