Really enjoyed this one, my first outing in the Polish Lavvu size 3 poncho tent, very impressed with it and cant wait to add some mods, the ration pack went down just fine!

People may debate I, but, as has been said by ex Polish military, the shoulder flaps go on the inside, both when wearing it and as a tent. That way the arm holes don’t leak. There are also less seams exposed. You do have it the wrong way. Nice video, I like your fire set up.
As I thought buddy, I quickly realised that it would be best the other way around. I can't understand why people have it the other way apart from looking slightly better. Thanks for the closure on it though. 👍
@@WilkoWild No prob. On the Worldwide lavvu owners Facebook club, there’s a link to some flooring, it’s really warm to sit on, it’s some kind of insulation, silver coloured in an octagonal shape. It makes a brilliant floor for the lavvu, especially in the depths of winter. It’s remarkably cheap as well, takes a while to come, as it’s from a China. Just tried to find the link with no luck, John, the moderator would probably know. I think it was about £6 including postage. It also weighs next to nothing, which is a big advantage, especially if most of your kit is ex military, as mine is. It’s great stuff, you know it will do what it’s meant to, but it isn’t half heavy!😂

@@WilkoWild That’s something I want to do, I’ve had a size 2 for ages, but was loathe to as I struggle with all the weight as it is. I snapped up a size 3 the other week, so am now thinking to modify the size 2 with an extra bit round the bottom and a sewn in groundsheet, plus putting marine zips in. Happy days ahead!😀

Another one to add for debate, de bait lures de fish.
Sandstone is prone to explode if there’s moisture inside and you expose it to fierce heat from a fire.

@@WilkoWild makes sense flaps inside on your shoulders. The arm holes don’t leak that way. With flaps in any water would run off the flaps not on you 😆 the Lavvu Bible says flaps in too.
