Always a good idea when fishing a short whip to have a couple of extra sections ready in case silly fish turns up also allows to fish a bit further out
Thank you Dan, I'm down in the Northants/Warwickshire borders and we are lucky in the one thing we have is plenty of canal to go at. Tight lines and take care 👍
Gonna give this a go tomoz on my box .. try out my keepnet hopefully 🤣 iv got a few worms iv dug up, bread, and small Robin red pellets.. I'm wondering will the tiny Robin reds work.. also got corn. Iv got a bag of decent groundbait aswel. Wondering will corn work for bigger fish in the swim?
Hi there, you should be able to catch on all of those, the worms, bread and corn usually work quite quickly, you may have to wait a wile for a bite on the pellets, If you haven't had any success after an hour, move swims 👍 Tight lines and enjoy your day 😎
@@boldersa I'll start off on a small bit of corn, quicker the bites the better! 4mm Robin reds are a option on tiny bait band. Size 16 smallest hook I got.
Spot on Barry I knew you would get it, it's one of those things that sticks with you doesn't it. There have been many good contributors and videos over the years Barry but for me JW was the man that did the most for angling, he certainly had an influence on my fishing. Take care Barry, I'll see you on the bank soon 👍
Hi Bob, you can do more with a 5m whip, but they are heavy. Pop into your local tackle shop and try a few out before you decide. Good luck and tight lines for your next trip out 👍
Fantastic film 👍loved the quote about the swan driving a ford transit 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Thank you 😎
Really enjoying your videos on canal fishing 🎣👍🏻that bit about the swan driving a Ford transit had me in stitches 😂Thankyou and keep it up 👍🏻
You are very welcome and thank you for taking the time to comment, take care and tight lines 👍😎
another nice session andy, a boat that slowed down makes a change and the swans are always welcome even if they do block the towpath😀
Thank you Mark, yes the boats were quite good that day for a change 👍😎

Very true, that's the advantage of take apart whips over telescopic. Tight lines 🤞
Nice session
Thank you 👍

good angling...have you ever had any BIG BOY perches...?,,,,,thanks
Hi Ray, yes I've caught perch to just under 3 1/2lb from various locations, both using worms and spinning, they always look magnificent.
Len baker quote from Go fishing - chub - ref the Swan driving a transit 👍🏻😊

Guest appearance by spider. 😁
Lol yes he certainly wasn't camera shy 👍😎
instead of filming you what about the float
feels better catching on a natural venue not a commercial pond....
It does to me 🙂👍
I have to get a whip Andy, I mainly fish smallish lakes and ponds and I'm thinking of a 5metre whip ? ✌❤ Bob
