The bond between singer and pianist is essential to a great vocal recital. As part of The Song Continues, young singers and pianists strengthen that musical connection when one of the respected authorities on collaborative piano, Martin Katz, brings them together in this public master class. - Видеоклипы
A surprising voice. Powerful but well controlled. A handsome man too!
William Powell he sounds like a eunuch
@@williamward4883 Actually, science has revealed that if a man becomes a eunuch after his voice has gone through pubescent changes, the pitch of his voice does not change! Crazy stuff I know.
He sounds better than a lot of female singers lol good stuff man!
Just imagine you are in the most beautiful gown in the world. Any physical movement from you during the song will distract the listener from observing the composer's intended message.
Thanks for the pointers on singing French...it's all about the vowels. The chanting the lyrics was a great idea.
The pianist is a cutie
voice of an angel and good looks... he really dose have it all
Wow, that's great!!
The way he sings is touching.
Beautiful!
Oh dear... that was so cool!!!!
A marvelous performance!
He's not straining at all he's a natural counter.... Great Job Buddy
He got better once he realized how contemplative the piece should be! Wow greatt
The importance of practice, practice, practice!
Wow, very beautiful 🖤
The "Jackie"" he mentions is Marilyn Horne who was in the audience. Brennan Hall doesn't have an idea what he is singing about. Mr. Katz tries to point this out to him.
Lorsque au soleil couchant les rivières sont roses,
Et qu’un tiède frisson court sur les champs de blé,
Un conseil d’être heureux semble sortir des choses
Et monter vers le cœur troublé;
Un conseil de goûter le charme d’être au monde
Cependant qu’on est jeune et que le soir est beau,
Car nous nous en allons, comme s’en va cette onde:
Elle à la mer-nous au tombeau!
So beautiful
Interesting mix of a performance and master class. Maybe this is not so uncommon.
Anyway, it's always so educating to watch masters at work. He is a really good coach.
Amazing!
Wow! Thank you.
Great socks Marek!
BEAU-tiful
Hot dude and the voice is lovely!
I was not expecting a couner tenor lol that made me think twice
This is it.
That's funny but when he starts just to say the text, he sounds like Baroque pronunciation of French to my French-native speaker's ears.
Very musical but not for me I'm afraid: strained, too much vibrato and keeps running out of breath.
Está fuera de la animación cuidado, muy barroco no está bien!! Y los maíces??
This dude sounds like he is straining his voice more than anything. He not bad by any means, but it doesn't sound natural bases in the strained timbre in his voice. He has potential but I think he should take it down the octave and go with tenor.
That would not work, by most calculations. Tenors are not really built to be able to sing countertenor, that's more of a barytone phenomenon.
He got better once he realized how contemplative the piece should be! Wow greatt
