The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) has faced significant challenges with fraud in its humanitarian aid programs in Syria. Investigations by the USAID Office of Inspector General (OIG) have uncovered complex fraud schemes, including **bid-rigging, bribery, collusion, kickbacks, and product substitution**. These fraudulent activities have affected the quality and effectiveness of humanitarian assistance delivered to Syrians affected by the conflict.
In response to these findings, USAID has taken several actions, including debarment of companies and individuals involved in the fraud schemes, suspension of program funds, and personnel resignations and terminations. The investigations have led to **$239 million in suspended program funds** and **$19.6 million in savings for USAID**.

In China, the government even has blackmailed the US since 1949. People in rural areas, from young to old, regard all Americans as China’s enemies as the government mouthpieces propagate such ideology over 70+ years. They don’t even have hints about their “enemy” has been offering different levels of assistance in all aspects including medicine, trading, technology, education etc. to help them out. The US, not perfect, but they are so resilient and kind compared to many hypocrite countries. Actions speak louder than words.

My question is why the US has to always be the biggest doner??? It is time for the EU and others to step up, and pay their fair share of World care, beginning with NATO. Safety and security first, and then charity. However, the charity of US tax payers needs to go to US citizens, the homeless, the poor, and the disabled first. In other words, one has to take good care of themselves first, before they can take better care of #1, #2, etc. Additionally, who is paying America's 36+ TRILLION dollar national debt? Two issues exist, as far as I can tell: 1) Non-American countries receiving years to decades worth of American aid are too dependent to develop self-sufficiency when the American people were initially under the impression that it was temporary aid (hence why some Americans are enraged), and 2) The Trump Administration's Executive Order to effectively and forcefully take over the USAID department and gut it into the Department of State, while Congress is out of session, is shocking to witness as an American. These two extremes are clashing, and yes, Trump has foreshadowed many of these things. I wouldn't be surprised if he would've tried this years ago in his first term if it wasn't for the Covid outbreak.

Wow, these comments are really harsh. The US pays more because it is the richest and most powerful country in the world. One of the reasons it is the most powerful country in the world is because it strategically brings stability to countries and regions that are either important for security, diplomatic relations or deliver valuable access to resources. This is not just about handouts and charity. I do agree that the US needs to take better care of its own. But do you really think slashing USAID - which again, makes up one percent of the budget - means these guys are going to now turn a new leaf and use the surplus to care for the homeless, support veterans or lower medical costs? More likely it will be used to finance tax cuts for corporations and the mega rich.

We are very happy with this development. It will finally wean off African governments from foreign aid and donations, and make Africa self- reliant, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ ( Acts 20: 35)
Let US stop such aid and donations completely instead use such monies on its destitute, sick and poor citizens.

Gay woke stuff is not aid. Now USAID has made a huge impact in improving the lives of many and reducing illegal immigration in to the US so even though some aspects of it have been stained, it can still and should still be saved as many people including those in Gaza need assistance from this entity.

This is actually making me angry as an American the more I see these segments. We had to fight tooth and nail to get healthcare here that doesn't automatically reject people and we still don't have universal health care but yet we are responsible for 40% of world aid? That is absurd and they don't discuss that in campaigns for neither Democrats or Republicans I'm 1000% sure no one would support this either way. The US as a nation may be a rich country but the citizens aren't so reevaluate this.
