Man I do the set up as soon as I get a new guitar in my hands, I would be lying if I were to say something about factory setup since it’s been years since last I experienced any of that! On the other hand, this was a really interesting video! Gonna be putting more attention next time I buy a new guitar!
I have a 2021 Rhoads Pro RR3 (Concorde Finish and Floyd 1000), purchased it from LA Music in Mississauga, the QC was perfect despite it being an 'Indonesian' guitar. I also got a 10% discount on the price. Pretty happy with it!

Same! I bought a white ht6 back about 3 or 4 years ago used and it was awesome and I put all of the same Hardware on it that Misha uses on his USA models. And that guitar is one of my best playing guitars. Even better than my USA Jackson soloist if you can believe it. I just got the ht7 the other day and the neon orange😂
I wish these guitars were on the same level as the Schecter imports with SS frets. My friends have played a few of these and all of them havent been great. Which is sad because Jackson is cool.
Yeah I'm with you there, especially with stainless steel frets. It's pretty bad when guitars that cost less have the same features and SS frets. Jackson has no excuse to streamline SS frets on their guitars, unless they still want to fall behind the competition.
Maple does not need to be conditioned. If you need to clean any finger grease or build up, I would say any sort of guitar body spray then go in with a microfiber cloth/toothbrush to really get the grime out of your maple fingerboard.
@@EricMorettin I have several roasted maple necks. Was curious reading about gunstock oil and then wax as an option as I think Ernie Ball necks are done this way. The neck on your video looks deep in colour and looked maybe possibly treated. Was curious about that. Thanks for the response.
@@warrenleprieur9203 It is roasted so that is the color that maple turns when it is roasted. Generally maple necks are finished from the factory, and you don't need to do much to them after that if they are not painted.
Ive always loved how these jackson misha models look! However the feel is just so awkward for me. Im more of a baritone player and the 26.5 with the super flat fretboard is a little uncomfortable. More of an esp/ltd player. Plus i love me a tune o matic bridge. that being said it sounds phenomenal! Love the vids man keep it up!

I had really good experiences with Indonesian Ibanezes. I owned 5. All were awesome. Indonesian made is no downside for me. But I would not buy an Indo import model until a certain threshold. I have the Ibanez BTB805MS, RGD71ALMS and AZ226PB. All are around 1000 EU (The bass 1400) I am very satisfied. You can always get a lemon for sure. Just send it back and change it out...I would love the Juggernaut ET7 to have stainless steel frets, but its nothing you cant have changed out real easy...
I believe the most important thing about buying a new production guitar is that you need to try it before you buy it. Especially with high volume number guitars that are made to sell, there may be a lemon in the batch so definitely try as many as you can before you buy. Even if you buy a guitar site on scene and it turns out to be a lemon, I'm sure you could return it to the music store and they could make it right for you. Regarding stainless steel frets, you can definitely do that and I'm pretty sure you can have dealers like Sweetwater do that for you from their store.
what's the versatility of an evertune-quipeed guitar, i.e. how many tunings does it support with one chosen string set and while still being able to stay in zone 2?
It supports any tuning really. Just depends on the strings you use and the feel you want. The max gauge you can put in is an 80 though. You just set it to whatever tuning and it'll work. Check the evertune site to see if your strings work for your tuning!

Is it done only by finetuning at the bridge or tuner posts + bridge? The point is to have the guitar for several tunings, not just one with stable pitch/tuning.
Ibanez Gio GRG7221M is nicer. I had sold one of these and bought a Jackson 7 string but ended up selling that one as the quality was not there, felt very dry.
@@EricMorettin The Jackson was a J22. My apologies I wasn't comparing to your guitars, these are low end but did notice on the two I purchased comparable in price the Ibanez was built way better and I somewhat regret letting it go.
another reason to not spend more than $500 on a guitar. Especially if you are in the habit of playing High Gain, it really makes no difference in sound and youre gonna get garbage no matter what price you pay.
That’s not the point of the video at all lol. The quality of a guitar absolutely makes a difference in recording, including high gain. Country of Origin just determines the quality of lumber and amount of time spent per build. I’ve owned $500 guitars that were good but still needed a fair bit of upgrades. I also have $2,000 guitars that needed 0 changes or upgrades.

Hey man, with the tone knob disengaged , can you kinda explain that? Like the tone knob isn't in the off position ?
When it's disengaged it's not in the circuit. So it's as if this guitar was wired like this; 2 hum, 5 way switch, 1 vol.
