When do you stream playing cata, noticed you were still playing wotlk arena. Watching you helped me get 2k rating on rsham in wotlk, hopefully looking to do the same in cata
ill be streaming cata arena/rbg from time to time after it launches! having some construction done these coming weeks so it might be loud and hard to find time to stream it but definitely will be streaming in a month or so more often!
You have inspired me to reroll to restó shaman for cata like I was in OG wotlk & cata

been playing a lot of the beta and i just feel like the 30% mana cost on totems is too good. high rating people will be killing your totems a lot and i feel like the mana you save is really good for mana conservation, but i'm going to give this build a try for sure. I feel like it would be good into holy pally and resto sham, but a priest who wants to dispell your riptides will make you fee like you're burning through mana to try and get a hugh rip tide just to have it dispelled off by a sham or priest. We'll see how the meta turns out, but pushing for the rank one spot i feel ike the totemic focus talent will be really good for mana conservation. Thanks for the share bro!
Thanks for the insight! Yeah it could definitely be good for mana if the other team is constantly killing your totems, but the focused insight talent reduces the mana on your heal too. I think its more of whatever fits your play style. I tend to shock a lot so focused insight seems super good from my perspective
@Mosquieto123 yeah I totally get that man, but to think about spending an extra global that is still going to cost 3-5% of your mana to get the buff is too much for me I think. I don't think it will be much of a problem in the later seasons with more mana/spirit and resil, but for season 9 i feel like it's asking and giving up too much, but we'll see how it all combs out once the season actually starts, I'm gonna be giving this build a shot though because like you said, it seems like a lot more fun than the alternative lol

hyped for the season. Wotlk was a huge let down for me since rsham felt way worse then back in the day. Hopefully cata will do better but as far as i heard, Rsham is pretty OP. glad that i'm a RSham OTP

I’m torn on the wind shear & instant ghost wolf. I feel like without my ghost wolf & I get trained by melee, I’m no different then a priest haha. I personally believe instant ghost wolf is a must have spell. I will miss my wind shear💔
yeah i agree! the short wind shear would be great if you knew you were facing casters but otherwise definitely not worth if you're just queuing blind
@@Mosquieto123 Exactly. At the beginning of the pre patch, I was exploring different options with the glyphs & talents. I’m going to start using the healing stream totem glyph. I’m still unsure about the healing rain talent though, I’m going to have to see how my mana efficiency is in arenas & determine if healing stream totem would be better then mana spring totem. A lot to look forward to this upcoming season. Awesome video bro, thank you. I know I bothered you about this a while ago about making a video for cata, & you came through 👍🏻 Thanks brother!
@@dannbann0270 yeah im thinking im going to be using healing stream every single game and try and be very mana efficient with my healing spells. definitely will be a big difference in shamans that heal efficiently throughout the game and those that just spam healing surge
It’s been a few days & I’ve been testing out a lot of things. I have a question for you before I start jumping into arenas & I want your opinion. Have you noticed how much mana our totems cost? I’ve noticed that when I drop my totems it can be anywhere from 8-11% mana. That’s including all 4 at the same time. With totemic focus, I’ve noticed it drops it down to about 4-6%. Also, our mana tide totem does last for about 17 seconds now besides I believe the usual 10? Do you plan on still not using totemic focus? I’m waiting for the tsunami card to drop a bit in price. Not paying 40k for that trinket. Thanks bro!
@@dannbann0270 thanks for the in depth comment! i also noticed how much mana dropping all 4 totems is, but as we get higher ilvl gear throughout the season and expac it wont be as bad since our intellect will be much higher. i can see the totemic focus talent being useful early in the expac and losing value as mana becomes less of an issue. im just excited to play with focused insight because it seems more fun. if mana turns out to be too difficult to maintain in arena/rbgs then maybe ill swap talents or at least swap to spirit gear from mastery. but keep me updated on what you end up doing and how it goes!

is the hit rate essential? many r1 rshams dont go for it. what's the answer..? comfusing. at least hex and wind shear doesnt miss we dont need hit cap i think..spell pen as well
Additionally, I tried wearing the set without hit cap and spell pen cap, and did some arenas and bgs, never saw a resist or miss(Hex & wind shear). Sooo, i guess something is broken, or i'm really lucky :P
youre just lucky! i think dwarf shams dont want to go for it since they lose too much spirit. as draenei, you already get 1% from passive so its not too far off. but i think overall if you want the bis setup for 3v3 its probably dwarf+no hit

I’ll just be doing 2s for fun with friends probably since you can’t get gladiator from it anymore. Mostly with a warrior I would say but I bet lock or ret pally would be super strong with a shaman
@@Mosquieto123 I used to have a much higher rating on cataclysm than on wotlk, be optimistic, in my opinion, resto in 2s is better on cata than on wotlk... if I can recommend, try to play with feral, as far as I remember, it was an op combo
