i don't know if you will see this, but i just want to thank you so very much for simply just being there and showing us your art and creativity. it makes me want to finally start doing something creative with my own life. sometimes i feel like i have no real purpose here and then fall into a slump so hard to get out of. but as i see the beauty people like you create, it all starts to make sense. i need to hold on just a little bit longer and then i will find the strength within myself to make my own life as beautiful 🤍
my goals for 2023 are to create more for myself rather than other people, make more room for myself, and fine a job that works with me and for me.

I read a lot too and here are my favourite books I’ve read this past year: Talk to My Back by Yamada Murasaki, The Verifiers by Jane Pek, Beautiful World where are You by Sally Rooney

as for book recs, if you love beautiful writing, i think you would like ocean vuong's works (i've read only "on earth we're briefly gorgeous"and it was magical). i would also recommend "demien" by herman hesse, "the song of achilles" by madeline miller, "the picture of dorian gray" by oscar wilde, "blackberry wine" by joanne harris, "the colorless tsukuru tazaki and his years of pilgrimage"by haruki murakami.
The book called "Natural flights of the human mind" by Clare Morrall is a very sad beautiful book, i recommend💕
The moment you recommended “sweet bean paste” I immediately went to read a sample of it, and omg i fell in love within the first 5 pages of the book. Thank you for always making me feel at ease with your videos, Happy New year Jas! ❤

A book that I've started that I think is pretty interesting is Horse by Geraldine Brooks, if your into art history and science and well as american history this is a great book. I need to restart it because it's been awhile since I picked it up because I'm also reading two other books for fun and three others for school but I think it's really interesting. I think it's also based off a true story but I'm not sure.

If you don't already have one, I'd recommend creating a goodreads account. It's a great way to keep track of the books you read and connect with others to see what they're reading and they can see what you're reading. As far as book recs, I'd recommend A Tale for the Time Being by Ruth Ozeki, if you haven't already read it. She has other great books as well.

The book Earthlings is wild. My parents bought it for me as a birthday present because I like hedgehogs - they were so embarrassed when I told them about the plot. But honestly such a fun, shocking, snappy book!

- on earth we’re briefly gorgeous by ocean vuong, some of the most beautiful near-poetry prose i’ve ever read and an absolutely thrilling life story
1Q’84 by murukami - definitely one of his most sexual books but a great one for feeling empowered as a woman and an interesting dive into sci-fi

Even the demons believe! However, Matthew 6:33 talks about us seeking Him and spending time with Him in the secret place ( where He lives- Matthew 6:6). If we seek Him, we will find Him! i recommend books by banana yoshimoto! her writing is really good and i’ve noticed that most, if not all, of her books are about grief. i’ve only read two of her books so far so i’ll recommend them, “kitchen” and “goodbye tsugumi” ❤️🩹 also, thank you for just sharing bits of your life with us. watching your videos gives me comfort. i wish you a good year ahead ♥️
