  • I have been wanting my pocket door to close for over a year, my little dog love to go in there and poop on the rugs, and my wife, and boys will go in there to get a towel, soap, or whatever and the door gets left open. The dog knows this like a magnet runs in and poops.
So watch the video and you will see how easy it is to automatically close you door.
The link to the items is www.amazon.com...
Oh I was wrong I say it cost $13.99, but its really $12.99

Excellent video! Thanks for the great idea! I have 2 pocket doors that I've been trying to find a solution to (auto close), but have been getting a headache trying to figure out which (expensive) solution to try. Just like you said in the beginning of your video, the typical solutions marketed involve cutting open sheetrock, etc., but your solution is simple, inexpensive, and doesn't require major surgery. Ordering the parts now, can't wait to tackle this project in a couple days!

Get a slow close attachment for a drawer drill a hole big enough to fit and recessed the perfect amount near the cable.. Then glue it in and I imagine that will fix the door from banging close.

It's because one is a left hand slide and the other is a right hand slide.

I've been searching for this for my sliding kitchen door. But why didn't you buy the white ones to match your doors? Thanks!

Thx! You could have just turned the box 90 degrees counter clockwise. Also, you can put a sticky felt pad on the side of the box instead of cutting a notch out of the frame.

    *gasp*
Man, I've been trying to remember and get back to this channel for years! I could never remember exactly why it was so important.. however, now I do!
Anyway, you mentioned in an older video (comments disabled?!), to email you should any questions arise... so uhhhh... idk where to find that email address. I'm really just lookin for an update (like how your overall health might have benefited over the years regarding a particular project you previously posted probably just passed a decade or so ago), and to share some of what I've learned w/ ya 😁

I just watched your water ionization video and feel I should comment here since I can’t on the video.
Using stainless hardware and applying a voltage in what is basically a battery cell will create hydrogen gas! Very unsafe and explosive. Do not use stainless and please remove or correct the video
