I ampevski were playing at a traditional dance, would he make up some of the music on the spot or is it all from his memory.....Thankyou for your help. Vi blagodaram
Liam Fionescu - What you call improvising is generally called interpretation which is quite different and something to be admired. (Though there is a place for improvising, too.)

To be Bulgarian you have to identify with the Bulgarian state so we don’t. Bulgarians are not a race to whoch we could belong to. The most balkan nations are speaking but have different consciousness about what and who they are. We are from Macedonia and so Macedonians. Out language, our population area and culture is restricted by Macedonian geographical borders. We are Macedonians and not Bulgarians.
