I watched some Videos of this man going around Speakers Corner watching debates. There is a Video of a Muslim Brother debating and explaining to him about Islam. This man is mysterious in his belief but defends Jesus and denies parts of the Bible. He does not say much about Islam but tries to be philosophical. In some places, he nearly contradicted himself when Bro. Yusuf was asking him a few questions. I can't guess his agenda, he reflects the character of a serious man but what he wants to preach is unclear?

I think this is an example of when someone becomes their “own god”! They believe only what THEY want to believe …. Accept and deny whatever suits them … and then think they are 100% correct and everyone one else are wrong. And little do they know that this decision is based on a limit/lack of knowledge… They are ignorant but they don’t know it … and arrogant to accept it or learn something new

Mr Yusuf, why do you say you are a sunni or shia? Does the Quran ask you to claim so or did the Prophet issue that instruction? How many companions were shia or sunni? Was Abu Bakr a sunni? Was Ali a shia? Well, they hadn’t even heard those terms. If I’m ever asked that silly question, I always say I’m a Muslim. That’s it. Secondly, the story of the Quran compilation by the first or third caliph is just a fairytale, a lie. That never happened because the Prophet himself got the Quranic text written down in its entirety under his direct supervision and bound between two covers. The communication and preservation of the Quran in the most perfect way was his main mission and duty. ان علینا جمعہ و قرآنہ. If I understood the man's question, he asked Br. Yusuf incorrectly @ 19:07 if he was a Sikh or the other one, probably meaning 'Sunni or Shia' and the answer was Sunni to please his question. Generally, as Muslims we all agree that the Prophet (saw) never preached Sunni or Shia.
You sound like a shia. That's how shias talk. Prove me wrong.
