My two boys were brought up to be polite and kind but I used to tell them to yell, scream, poke at eyes, kick if approached by strangers etc and that they would be told they did exactly the right thing. You have to tell them to defend themselves and use behaviours that are normally out of bounds.
I recall as a child being afraid of a storage room next to my bedroom in the second story of our house, which was in a safe neighborhood with no crimes that I can recall at the time at least. Now because of the woke politicians, I am afraid to go outside, or to go downtown. I avoid being outside at night. The politicians who promise a utopia for all bring us instead danger for all. That is the true horror show.
If you fear woke politicians, you're a slang word for a cat. This is the US. and we have the RIIGHT to protect ourselves and our property using firearms. Never forget this. You should fear nobody.
That's the intent. Now all you have to do is give the government more power and they'll fix the problems, or, at least, they'll claim to, if you just give up some of your freedoms for security. The USSR loved using anarcho-tyranny too.
“O sir, we should have fine times, indeed, if, to punish tyrants, it were only sufficient to assemble the people! They closed mental hospitals because people didn't like them, and now homeless people live on the streets instead. Now, I understand that mental hospitals were really horrible sometimes, but they should've been fixed, not dismantled completely. People living on the street, attacking people, pissing and pooping wherever, can't be better than actually giving them a place to live where people take care of them. We know a lot more about mental health than we used to, and some of these people might actually be helped by living in a facility for awhile. Some people actually get much better with meds.

So don't have children you can't afford and stop crying about it
@@kathystoneburner4947 SPOT ON ! Thanks for that Kathy.
Tyrus is a bona-fide genius 😂
Today's people are afraid of everything . If people are not staring at their cellphone , they are wearing a face diper and thier feelings are hurt when the wind blows .
Tyrus, again the voice that anyone can understand, and his reasoning is pure logic on the subject. children need direction or they will get it elsewhere
I’d move to Florida right now over NY
Lols.
Ends on the comedian talking about the dog, asking it's homeless master if they are going in soon.
That was a wonderful close!

When I grew up in NYC it was about one day going to college - fulfilling your dreams. Now it's about being safe. What's the point of futurizing and having goals if you have to spend so much energy being safe and have to be constantly looking over your shoulder.
Learn to be an adult and act accordingly, not a hard concept for most. Go see your gynecologist, maybe she can give you some tips
@@timthomson7532 Gonna give me some tips on how to make the back of my head bullet proof? Or allow me to fend off multiple attackers or kidnappers? Your response reeks of keyboard warrior. If someone wants to hurt you. There is no amount of preparing if they see you to stop it. Other than just not living there.
Haha!😁
That's wild because when I grew up in NYC we were way more focused on not starving or getting stabbed
Glad to see we're back on track

Shout out to Tyrus. Thank you for being the voice of reason. Also shootout to Jamie Lissow. Love your contribution and always love to see you on the show!
Wow. You must live in an awful neighborhood.
“O sir, we should have fine times, indeed, if, to punish tyrants, it were only sufficient to assemble the people! Your arms, wherewith you could defend yourselves, are gone; and you have no longer an aristrocratical, no longer a democratical spirit. Did you ever read of any revolution in a nation, brought about by the punishment of those in power, inflicted by those who had no power at all?”
Patrick Henry, Speech in the Virginia Ratifying Convention, June 5, 1788
Can you imagine being a maid having to clean the rooms for the homeless? OMG they would put their lives on the line. They should be given concealed carry permits for sure.
My house it was polio….so many kids in my class didn’t make it…
I am an old guy and I had to get a polio shot to go to school.
I had a brother who was a year younger. He got the sugar cube.
Hello from Ireland ☘️yes indeed I remember getting the sugar lumps in the 1960’s and pictures of those poor kids in the ‘iron lungs’ 😱
I had an orthodontist in a wheelchair from it and I worked with a pediatrician, younger than I, who had polio. He still works with a pronounced limp.
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world
That last joke from Jamie was MONEY! Jamie is consistently good, but he's the king of landing a random legendary 1 liner.
Great show! Tyrus eyes light up as he spoke about his children, so wonderful to see that light💚
“In a general view there are very few conquests that repay the charge of making them, and mankind are pretty well convinced that it can never be worth their while to go to war for profit sake. If they are made war upon, their country invaded, or their existence at stake, it is their duty to defend and preserve themselves, but in every other light and from every other cause is war inglorious and detestable.”
Thomas Paine, The Crisis, 1778
My favorite is the introduction of Tyrus......lol
Escape from New York
"The United States shares a very important relationship, which is an alliance with the Republic of North Korea," VP Kamala Harris said, intending to refer to South Korea as she kicked off remarks after touring the DMZ. "It is an alliance that is strong and enduring." Well maybe she intended to say South Korea, afterall most people don't know the difference. But, she is a female and her skin is darker than mine, which is how you pick leaders. And she a brilliant attorney who is 1 small issue from being our president. It's unreasonable to expect Kamala to know geography, or, for that matter geology! LGB !!
“A free people ought not only to be armed, but disciplined; to which end a uniform and well-digested plan is requisite; and their safety and interest require that they should promote such manufactories as tend to render them independent on others for essential, particularly for military, supplies.”

The US has a very powerful army, that's for sure.

Tyrus' approach to teaching children to not appear as a helpless innocent is brilliant.
predators hunt easy prey. don't be the easy prey.
Yup! They "threw out the baby with the bathwater"! Totally illogical, but that's what THEY do with everything. Don't fix it, just do away with it. 🙄😐

“Mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the Forms to which they are accustomed.
