I usually don't tear up at all, but this scene left me on the verge of tears, I just love Ashley Johnson's voice, it's amazing. I just really love singing scenes like this in games, this scene right here, is one of my favorite scenes in gaming. I also hated the story when I first played, was pretty sad to see Joel get killed, but over time, I've warmed up to the story. ND makes some of the best games I've ever played, in fact, The Last of Us was my first playstation game I ever bought, I didn't know anything about it, but I'm glad I bought it. Love ND.
For some reason this reminds me of the first time I kissed my girlfriend, we were sitting in my truck on a Wednesday, a Hooters parking lot and I was singing country songs with the radio. I'm not an amazing singer by any means, but I'm not terrible. Anyway I was singing softly and I looked over at her and we locked eyes for a second and I told her "I could kiss you right now" and she laughed and smiled at me in a teasing way and said "hmmm, do it" and I looked down contemplating my next move for about 2 seconds before I looked up and kissed her. About 30 minutes after that, she was laying against me and I had my arm around her. Dammit that was a good day, and yes we've had many good days since, but the first day like that is a very memorable one
pewds was bored of the game he lost interest. as hes said for years he lost interest In most game. he was excited for this one but was let down. it's a good game just not for everyone. hes just trying to entertain himself because he no longer cared for the story
Searched every room I could when I played The Last of Us 2, which brought my playtime to a whopping 29hrs and some. But I’m glad to know that I stumbled upon this optional scene without knowing about it.
One scene that made me burst into tears was when dina said "aww Ellie they should be terrified of you" during the dance. For those who think that sounds weird lol there's a context to it
I'm 28 now, can't remember when I played it but I think I was 25/26, anyways, never played the first one so I had no idea what to expect going into this one. Starting the game, I got so fucking engrossed into it, fully immersed in the story and everything, I was playing for about 10 hours a day non stop until I finished. When I randomly came across this scene, I blew up into a teary mess, it was so unexpected and beautifully done I've never felt so emotional in such a long time. I miss games that can make me feel something like this one did, I always come back to watch this scene every now and again and everytime it gives me a warm fuzzy feeling of emotion as if I lived through the game myself. I was so shook I remember I had to take a break after this scene played, and I tried so many times to find more like it around the game, couldn't even find anything about this scene on RUclips or Twitch when I ran across it, I must have been one of the first hundred people to see it and I'm so grateful this wasn't spoiled for me.
Everyone hating on ellie for her rendition... go have a look behind the scenes... ashley was told to sing in this style.. because she sang so perfectly... and ash delivered imo one of theee best covers of take on me i ever heard..
This one scene is entirely optional I'm pretty sure but the fact that it's in the game at all shows that the game makers cared about what they were making. People who hate the game saying that it's poorly written or that it's just a cash grab are completely wrong, the game makers truly cared about the game but well due to Joel's death it was hate bombed and there's a chance that due to TLOU2 being hated that TLOU2 could be the final TLOU game and I find that upsetting.
As much of a fan I am of pewdiepie for almost 10 years. This is the first time I didn't like how he treated this scene. It could've been great if he didn't try to act obnoxious on that part. But the rest of his gameplay is still enjoyable.
I think he's a bit out of touch with some things. When he said _"that's so cringe"_ like c'mon man really, emotions and self expression = lol cringe now.
He is like this all the time. Felix really tries to never be sappy/emotional at all. It’s quite weird to be honest. He can’t take or participate in any form of emotion or sincerity. @@liavhanegbi2729 he’s not like this all the time. He’s showed emotion about his Minecraft dog. He literally cried in the walking dead season 1 ending. He almost cried in the season 4 ending. At the end of the day he just didn’t enjoy playing this game.

ND makes some of the best games I've ever played, in fact, The Last of Us was my first playstation game I ever bought, I didn't know anything about it, but I'm glad I bought it. Love ND.
best part of this “ train wreck of emotions “ of a game
Idk about emotions, but it certainly is a train wreck
I lost motivation as soon as joel died, I liked the game it’s just so f*cking depressing
@@v2chill559 the graphics and animations are fucking incredible. Such a shame the talent was wasted on such a shitty narrative.
Dammit that was a good day, and yes we've had many good days since, but the first day like that is a very memorable one
this is such a cute comment lowkey made me cry
The contrast between Pewds and Jack's reaction to this scene and this whole game just kills me.
pewds was bored of the game he lost interest. as hes said for years he lost interest In most game. he was excited for this one but was let down. it's a good game just not for everyone. hes just trying to entertain himself because he no longer cared for the story
I be PewDiePie on chorus part🤣
Same lol

The guy with the red gaming chair needed to shut his trap homie
Searched every room I could when I played The Last of Us 2, which brought my playtime to a whopping 29hrs and some. But I’m glad to know that I stumbled upon this optional scene without knowing about it.
Both the Last Of Us and Red Dead 2 hit differently. I got too attached to Ellie, Joel and Arthur, like they were my family
Ashley johnston ❤❤❤ so glad she was ellies mom 😢 such a special series 🎉
She can't be a gamer, her posture is too good
One scene that made me burst into tears was when dina said "aww Ellie they should be terrified of you" during the dance.

It doesn’t matter what genre of music you are into “take on me” is a song everyone would enjoy
I can’t believe I missed this part in my first playthrough :|
love how pewdiepies immediate reaction is to make an emotional moment into a joke to avoid dealing with ir😂
Jack: "you could just miss that"
happened in my first playthrough. thank god i played a second time
This one scene is entirely optional I'm pretty sure but the fact that it's in the game at all shows that the game makers cared about what they were making.
Agreed. I think his appreciation for games fell off the over the last two years
I think he's a bit out of touch with some things. When he said _"that's so cringe"_ like c'mon man really, emotions and self expression = lol cringe now.
He is like this all the time. Felix really tries to never be sappy/emotional at all. It’s quite weird to be honest. He can’t take or participate in any form of emotion or sincerity. Guess it’s something to do with the way he grew up or sum.
Unlike Sean who isn’t afraid to show emotions and be appreciative of things like this. Story mode games are just not for Felix.
@@liavhanegbi2729 he’s not like this all the time. He’s showed emotion about his Minecraft dog. He literally cried in the walking dead season 1 ending. He almost cried in the season 4 ending. At the end of the day he just didn’t enjoy playing this game.
@@liavhanegbi2729 I can’t blame Pewds for that. Growing up my family always said to “man up” or “boys don’t cry” or similar sayings. Obviously don’t ever do that to your children, it’s extremely bad for their health, but besides being an entertainer, I can definitely see if he had an experience like mine and he prefers to steer away from emotional situations.
Yeah game is a masterpiece
I wanna see a-ha react to this!!! (the band who originally sang this)
I think they know abt it!! I was listening to the official podcast and apparently the reason they knew this song was bc someone on the team knew one of the band members and so the copyright was easy to deal with :)
@@ViaMclean that's pretty cool! Which podcast?
@@ViaMclean Can you please share the podcast? I wanna hear it.
I'm a man, 80kg of muscle and I've had the same exact reactions as the last girl, I even did the same route to leave the room but I got back to see if I could play the guitar. RDR2 to me is untouchable but this is getting pretty close real fast
I keep hearing RDR2 has the best story ever. Wish the gameplay wasn't so painstakingly slow and boring though.
@@babyfood9537 rdr2 story is very very good at a point, I can't tell you what I prefer between the two.
Yes the story is very slow, it took me 5 months to finish it but I enjoyed every single minute 🙂
@@davidepaltrinieri3535 the story isn't, the open world. If you factor only the main missions into RDR2 its alright like, the story in the original was better... People are blinded by the graphics and open world over the missions 🤣
The first one knows how to destroy beautiful moments.
Best reaction to this song came from Julien Solomita. I reacted the exact same way. Gotta say it takes emotional intelligence to get through this game with an open mind.
You can tell pewdiepie barely even gave this game a chance, the irony in him saying “so fucking cringe”
Maybe it should be less cringe

been a minute but i always come back to this.
This song was so beautiful in the context of the game... a day or 2... in those 2 days.. all hell happened... i honestly feel bad for anyone who missed this 1 moment of calm...
Also.. pewds fucked this.. with his masculinity.... he felt the feels... just fukn submit to the greatness.. this scene was really touching... and optional...and he pretended it meant nothing.... n thats a diservice to ellie and the work that went in to this...
he fucked up by streaming the game instead of doing a standard let's play and was not immersed in the story at all
Someone did an edit of Ellie with this song over it, I may or may not have cried
Sorry imagine coming into this scene and screaming above it like the first guy... obnoxious lol
Right out the gate an easy reminder why I don’t watch pewdiepie
Why? He thought it was funny when a game tried to make a meme song sad. I found that funny too

Pewds had the worst reaction because he didn't enjoy the game that much so he didn't take it as seriously as others

Guys I think Pewds was feeling kinda awkward and vulnerable because it was a sensitive moment, so he naturally tried to make it funny rather than sad. A lot of people do this.
