Your a very intelligent, level headed young man, don’t let the haters get to you. They’re just couch potatoes probably still leaving with their moms (probably in the basement)
My son puts his skulls in an ant hill and lets them clean it for him, after that he lets the sun bleach it. I’m not sure if he uses peroxide or not, I’ll have to ask him.
Keep up the good work, and I for one, as a woman who is old enough to be your grandmother, enjoys your videos.

Here in Maine, you set the limits...always be you Sir, take care of your flock, your pup and yourself...black bears catch attitudes too damn fast, buggers hold grudges for long time...friends had camp they bear proofed it they thought...big black came back right after they closed it up in Dec...climbed a telephone pole for security lights next to cabin and got
in by 2nd story window....big mess black made but got shot ...grudge holding bugger he was.

You're doing just fine with what your doing. Now you said to many people are giving you weird suggestions on what to put there at your cabin.
The only two things I would suggest, is a double sink and a small refrigerator.
Double sink : you probably won't be able to set up for running water, however you can plumb in the drain to drain outside the cabin. (melt snow water and do your dishes indoors after a long day of trapping.)
Refrigerator: only if you have enough power to run a small collage dorm size fridge that runs on 12 volt power. then you can keep produce , cheese , eggs, beer, at the proper temperatures.
But your doing just fine they way you do Love.
p.s. I'm old enough to be your Mom =)

Don’t listen to anybody else just a video of you on the porch with your camp coffee or tea is exactly what a small camp is supposed to be I am in Michigan and people have “cabins “ 1 mile from the local party store and they think they are roughing it LOL nothing more fun than making something out of nothing unfortunately I don’t trap but I have had one hell of a time building a camp with my dad 20 miles away from the nearest living person not that that is roughing it but at least you are away from the nearest idiot don’t let anybody tell you how to live your life especially your camp life! Nothing wrong with letting the bear go if you don’t need it Love the videos keep them coming can’t wait for the next one love the simple living once again hello from Michigan!

Hey buddy, you should definitely keep doing exactly what you feel is right for you.
There’s so many frikkin folks that love to give you their two pennies worth, without any real idea on what it’s like to live so far off grid, have animals to look out for and your own safety to boot!
I love that you gave that big ol’ bear the benefit of the doubt, it seemed from the footage you showed that he had no idea he was about to come upon your camp and once he realised, he was off. I hope he doesn’t show back up giving you problems and if he does, then you’ll do what you need to, I’m sure.
You’re a true inspiration, such a good work ethic and have your wits about you too.
Keep safe and keep doing what makes you happy. I’ve watched almost every vid you’ve done and look forward to every one too.... sending love from Europe 💜

I have an observation: Something to think about for later. You have those skulls with "annoying stuff" like meat hanging on them -- and you have an ant hill where you put the kyak. Ants eat meat as quickly as they can. See where I'm going? More time for other things.
    Best of fortune to you!

That's a bigass bear, so kool that you included the footage. Nice to see the grass and the trees greening up. Interesting to see how you clean up and bleach those skulls. Keep givin er. I see you using peroxide, it could be worth asking a hairdresser about getting some peroxide (haircolor) activating cream to paint on those skulls. Another deadly video and nice to see you got some fish for the pan. 👍

Ive cleaned a few skulls. I actually did a very delicate seagull that came out like something from a museum, and it took almost no work. I put a box over it, with some weight to keep the raccoons off, left it on some well drained, sandy soil so it wouldn't rot, and let the bugs take care of it for a couple week. Not a speck on her. A seagull isn't impressive, but having something so delicate, cleaned so perfectly is pretty cool.
And pike is great tasting fish! No idea why so many people don't like them, except they're too lazy to fillet.

These videos really keep me going until I can get out in the bush again.
