    omg! this method is so clever and it saves a lot of time! I've been doing it with the genric model tool and it takes me a whole hr! thank you so much I just made louvers in 10 mins

    I wanted to do wood slats but I all the ways I thought up were clunky and had issues. Curtain wall is in the end so obvious and genius. Thank you so much!! Have to check out all of your videos now!

      Use Tab to change the selection, that works for me

    From architect "it's quick to build, only takes 10 minutes". I'd love to hear what the wood construction worker says when he receives these drawings about how quick it is to build IRL =) The actual trick is to do something that looks very nice (not dull) yet is quick to "build". Maybe for something like this Revit should be able to output digital instructions to CNC etc machine that would cut those wood stripes exactly in correct length and number them THEN it would be very easy for construction guy just to line those up!

      Ofcourse this will take too long on actual construction even with the process u mention with CNC. He just mean its quick build in REVIT only.

    what happens if we don't have a 50 by 60 mullion is it okay to uses a 30mm squared mullion or a circular mullion

    Hey I think most of you guys already know it but if you just click one of the mullions, you can change its material from there.

      just change the material of the glass to "air" in families and make the thickness 0.1 so it doesnt come in your rendered view

    hey sorry, anyone can help me with why my revit doesn't have the "Empty System Panel: Panel" option? 3:17 should i make that option myself first or maybe i can find it somewhere? thank you

      tried to make the "empty system panel: panel" by editing the "system panel: glazed" with changing the glass into ---> a "nothing" material andddd it worked! on every view BUT the realistic view... ofc something's still showing up as the panel in realistic view (even though i use a 100% transparent picture and the transparency is already set to 100 haha one can only hope and try)

    Encountered a problem, when I edit the wall to the frame I want, a message is received
    "Can't make type "M_Empty Panel".
    and forces to return the glass

    Hi! Can you give me some advice? I can't find my empty system wall panels. I've look on properties and editing curtain wall. Do i need to download this family? If so where do i download from?

      This can be too late but to fix this you have to load empty system panel family located the curtain wall panels folder in the libraries.

      I just found this in a forum and it works! :D Try it
      1. FAMILIES > NEW 2. Pick (template) file METRIC CURTAIN WALL PANEL.RFT 3. FILE > SAVE named for example EMPTY PANEL 4. Click LOAD INTO PROJECT. Good Luck

    everything worked well until i made the roof by extrusion and in the section where the panels were cut it said can't use type empty system panel so it just fills it with a glass panel on top. what's the solution?

      Oi mate, 1 year late buh this is the solution. You get the way BA change the verical mullions to wood? Go there but this time; curtain panel-system panel-(make a name). Mine is Empty. So for the material use Air. Go back to normal edit type and there you have it: Empty. Genius?

      no, if you want to make something like this on the ceilling you could use a curtain wall by mass

    Very nice. How would you make openings for windows, Door, Louvers?would you create grid lines outlining these elements and make the "panel" some thin default wall to serve as a host for doors and windows/louvers? Is there a better way?
