IMPORTANT NOTES:
- E1 > S1 OKAY, S1 is there after E1 or if you seriously lack other options.
- Black Swan sig gives 28.8% def ignore on her dots, I clarify it just after in the -DEF% total but I said 20.8 during the explanation 💀
- The summary has a typo, A4 is when allies cause Dot DMG* not enemies. This is explained in the video, but if you went straight to summary it can be a bit confusing.
- Endgame Stat Goal I'd recommend 3500+ ATK if running an ATK% Orb. I'll specify that in future videos.
- Going atk% boots and lower SPD is fine and can be just as strong as high SPD due to BS mechanics. (I prefer SPD)

With my main team being DOT (and simping for both Kafka and Sampo) it's exciting to have a new addition to amplify that. I would be devastated to bench Sampo but he's also only E3 so I've got some playing around with combos to do.
Also I love the guoba skins with every guide they give me strength.

In some fights Sampo can be better than Kafka. Like against the new Death boss
On the plus side, if you had farmed for Sampo, you can just steal his relics and give them to her.

Focus on Kafka. She is the core of Dot teams. Then black swan is 2nd. Then you can use Ruan/pela/Asta + a sustain and have a fully functional dot team.
Me since last banner. I had prefarmed for Dr. ratio, but I also got Kafka and Himeko.
So I'm still levelling Kafka, Himeko, and Sampo for the DoT team 😭

I’ve been saving up for black swan. I got THE DOT team complete now! The damage is insane
Got her after 153 pulls with a lost 50/50 to E1 Gepard but I'm just happy to finally have a new DoT inflictor in my Kafka team! Bit salty about having a 16.67% 50/50 winrate with only 1 win but at least I tend to lose to the more favourable standard banner characters. Also finally got my free 5* from standard so Bronya is now E1S1
I wanted to save for Sparkle, but I need more damage units because I pulled for a lot of supports ^^ my pitty was already high and I did get her in a 10pull (did win the 50/50). Thank you for this video!

Great guide; I do wish there were comparisons for other LCs though, even at less optimal substats, as I've been unlucky enough to not get a single Eyes of the Prey and I'm not sure if I'm willing to take Tutorial off of Pela (a conundrum that isn't addressed at all in this video).

A question about the DoT teams: since I don't have Ruan Mei (I had to skip her to get Kafka), in your opinion as a temporary replacement is it better to go with 3 DoT chars (Kafka, Black Swan and Guinaifen) or just replace Ruan Mei with Tingyun/Pela? Thx
3 Dots has more DMG, but a support like Asta is safer

I was already farming Prisoner in an attempt to get enough speed subs to switch to attack% boots for Kafka, so I've got a ton of great relics ready for Black Swan already!
In order to save for the other crazy characters coming out, I'm sticking with my s5 eyes of the prey. It's probably best used on her anyway compared to my other nihility units and isn't that much worse than her signature. Thanks for confirming that.
i snapped and pulled for black swan when i was saving for sparkle.. at least i have kafka tho

I limited myself to 30 swan pulls as I want sparkle, If i lose her 50:50 it's good for me. If I get her than nice - I'll probably get enough for sparkle anyway, if I don't I get pity towards sparkle.

@@nousagi35 Build Sampo/Gui for her teams and wait for Kafka rerun. She also works with Serval/Asta use them depending on enemy weaknesses but it's more niche.
Im very tempted to go for her, even though I lack kafka and ruan mei, but part of me also wants to save for other pentacony characters, like acheron or sam, if he turns out to be playable
Black Swan is insanely fun to play and the Arcana mechanics are very addictive. There's something so satisfying about racking up 20-30 Arcana stacks and then seeing a 100k DoT tick blast the enemy at the end of the turn. If you like the ramping playstyle of DoT but felt that HSR's DoT system was a little too simple, get Black Swan!
What mode can you stack 30 arcana? Moc?

@@scy11a17 Yeah MoC. You can stack it to 30 with a Kafka team during the cycles where Black Swan ults, if you have enough speed. If there are multiple targets (double bosses especially), they can inflict stacks on the enemy next to the when their Arcana stacks pop as well.
Great guide as always, but as someone who was blessed with kafka last patch and is now scrambling to build dot It would be nice to know how Swan does in fire weak vs Gui. Really want Sparkle but debating if it's gonna be better to just grab Swan.

Since I know Dr. Ratio need a debug character for his follow up attack to work better, does it means that if we have him as a main dos can we use black swan in the same team as an debuff? Nice guide, so would you say go for E1 or S1 if let's say I have S5 Eyes of the Prey?
She does seem like a great Luka support for MoC at E1. While often overlooked, his break damage can down pretty much anything at 200+ BE so for rooms with less but more powerful enemies he slaps, pretty much saved getting the last star for me lately. Ruan Mei is great too since having her RES PEN up is very noticable and this will pretty much double the effect. Then again Kafka can detonate it twice alongside his detonation so some testing is needed.
I'm happy to see and confirm for myself that Black Swan is amazing. She has all these intricacies that are fun to puzzle out, while being comfy to actually play. There was a decent amount of doomposting about her potential compared to Sampo - I'm glad you showed direct comparisons from both perspectives (kafka team, bs team)
I would have liked to see a bit more discussion on LCs. Like a small blurb on how energy rotation is affected by Tutorial LC (if at all); a few people have asked me about that cone vs low super imposition Eyes of the Prey. Or, how bad is it really to use the F2P cones (Fermata, Showtime) if there is literally no EHR LC available? How much damage is lost being at ~100 ehr?

I was originally gonna go for dhil because black swan's trial felt underwhelming, but after seeing how her potential can be maximized with Kafka, I'll def go for her because I just got Kafka recently
won my 4th 50/50 in a row i was farming relics for my sampo e6 and quanifen which is now e6 but sitting on 138 speed with 120 effect hit rate on a attack chest piece. But still had to check in on the guide great stuff 🙏
Premium DoT team completed with Kafka E1 and S1 on it .🎉

Penacony is a LOT of fun tho, i can see what they were cooking all the time since beta as the Xianzhou arc already existed in beta so it wasnt surprising as a whole.

i just got Den Heng and Black Swan back to back in 20 pulls and i cant contain my shock yall (wanted to pul for den heng, forgot to switch the banner, got her, thought ok but what if and was like NO WAY)
One thing about Ruan Mei’s paired with Kafka is that you can actually run a slower Ruan Mei. Her technique allows her to deploy her skill boost at the beginning of the battle so you don’t have to be preoccupied a lot by her speed tuning 😊
But the ult ! :) vonwacq helps for that at least

Ok so i got a question regarding how much EHR should be om swan. affer i got the final build down on a lvl 20 character, final Hit rate is around 94.7, another 10%, from traces, so 104.7% overall. Now, should i use Before Tutorial s5, or Night prey(sampo LC at S1 sadly) (124.7 vs 144.7), while going atk rope and sphere.
I have kafkae2 and just got Black swarn do i go for black swarn sig lc or her e1?

1: energy and rotation, with E4 and having HH you can actually get perma 3 turns rotation SP possitive skill basic basic.. do you think it worth it ? or better stick to attack % rope and 4 turn rotation?
2: Speed ! with Ruan and HH ill be getting 22% speed boost (10 from Ruan 12% from HH e1) however Kafka is very fast as she doesnt need the 120 EHR, and her signature gives alot of speed. so for BS to be faster than Kafka is unrealistic in my situation, and im questioning if in my setup with the 22% speed and E6 (at E6 allies can apply arcana, and you can sometimes reach the 50 stacks limit) if my goal should still be 161 speed (total including the 22% speed so 140 speed +22%) or in this case would it be better for me to use attack % boots and get 10 speed on substats (easy) which will leave me at 134 speed total (112+22% speed) maybe ERR rope + attack % boots? would love to know your opinion overall if still worth going for the 144-161 speed total if its not possible to outspeed kafka. or better 134-144 speed and maybe attack boots. thanks alot !
3: considering E4 -10% ress doesnt really have good uptime 50-66% uptime is it really good enough to stop at 120 EHR? or do i maybe want to try push for 140 ish ehr for more chance to apply?

This is awesome I had no plans on pulling for Kafka or black swan but for some reason I did and I got Kafka in 30 pulls and won the 50/50 for black swan in 20 pulls but the thing is I’m going to waste a lot of time grinding till they are max on whatever and I don’t necessarily have good light cones and good supports for them
All you need is 4 star aoe dot (guin or luka) or a support like tingyun and a sustain.
@@Kspice9000 I got tingyun E6 but I got her with my argenti and I just pulled for black swans light cone and got it
Now what we need are Physical and Fire DoT mommies. Would be even nicer if one provide buffs to your team and the other provide sustain (for example HP regen when DoT triggered like in SU)

Does Epiphany work with follow-up attacks when they trigger on the enemy turn? Mainly Clara, I think her counter counts as an action inside the enemy's turn, maybe Ratio too if Clara procs his ultimate mark, but not Numby and Lightning Lord because they have their own turns...
Idk, DoTs are fun but follow-up just activate my neurons so much more...
amazing video gouba, quick question please, iam using glamoth set and i have 160 speed and 120 eff rate, should i just go sth else and go atk boots instead of speed booths, il still have 135 speed. or stick to 160 speed?

I prefer spamming skills if you have the SP, especially in aoe, but yeah basics are fine

Would you recommend Black Swan or Sparkle if pulling for only one of them? I do have the recommended teammates for BS (except for Huohuo) and am planning to pull for Acheron.
I find TY works very good with BS as well. With TY and Huohuo BS can reach > 30 and even 50 stacks in some scenarios. But it does require her to spam skills which is not very ideal but if you have no sp problem TY + HH are very solid.
I remember seeing her kit and people worrying if we could manage to consistently keep up 7 stacks for the upgraded Arcana. Oh little did we know...
Great guide : it's pretty complicated to give a good overview of a character as complicated as Black Swan.
Still, I think Black Swan as potential in less DoT focused team, for example in Himeko, Hook or Dr Ratio teams (paired with Asta or Guinaifen).
Also, i wonder : could Black Swan make CRIT Luka viable (at E6). Snce he is SP neutral or slightly positive (especially with Tutorial LC), you could pair him with a Bronya. That could allow some very eplosive turns, with multiple Arcana detonation in a row...

BROOOO i really teared up between blackswan or hanabi, and whether I should spend for their lc. Which option that is gonna be a better investment for an f2p account, guoba? For context my main dps are kafka, jingliu and ratio (all S1). I also got ruanmei, bronya, topaz and welt for support/2nd dps. THIS PATCH IS TOO MUCH FOR ME :(
Lost the 50 50 but got her in the next 20 pull and luckily won on her lc banner. Got every thing in about 150 pulls so not too bad
Lost the 50/50 to welt(E1 now), but got her the very next 10 pull, so yay. Now just a question of farming for her, and kafka that i got just 3 days ago (luckily i was 70 pity, and won 50/50, so no wasted 4 stars on kafka banner)

Using relic remains is exactly what I did lol I now have a 136 speed black swan with 121 effect hit rate with resolution lightcone for my support swan build 😂 if I get signature I can easily switch to attack chest

That Guoba skin.. kinda terrifies me /panic. I've watched 4 different CC's for guides and I'm still a little fuzzy on her playstyle, but I had high pity on both char and LC banner so I got her and her LC so far, going for E1 tomorrow! But even with lower traces I tested her on Sim Uni world 8 and she seems really fun.

I'm actually a big fan of DoT teams. But looking at my 5* characters so far, Sparke and Fu Xuan would definitely be better additions to my teams. So I'll keep saving up for Sparkle and hope Fu Xuan's rerun comes soon. Since I lost the last 50/50, I will definitely get Sparkle at least!

Non EHR light cones could be useful to discuss for remembrance runs in the simulated universe since you get a ton of EHR with the path bonuses and frozen enemies take extra DoTs since they defroze then get advanced. Which one would be ideal for that scenario then? I assume switching LCs for a run is fairly simple but i wouldnt do it for the entire set.

Which is better for her E1 or S1.
And where does Kafkas E1 or S1 rank in this comparison? Because a lot of players getting Black Swan are those who already have or are planning to get Kafka. So if they wanted to upgrade that team their main options would most likely be E1 for Kafka or B.Swan and S1 for Kafka or B.Swan.
So personally in what order of priority would you rank these 4 options.?

Manage to build pity on kafka(totally didnt pull 25 and didnt get her) & got blackSwan on first 10 pull, and quite sad when vid stated kafka is good combo while the substitue for kafka is e4 sampo, and my sampo is e2
