That magnet part on the Moft is supposed to pop out in grip mode. The way your holding it is in portrait mode and is not meant to be held that way. It's supposed to pop out because that is the hold/grip not the stand.

Regarding your review of the OhSnap grip (the last one), they make two models, the main model is a plastic ring, however they DO make an aluminum one, which is the Luxe model. So depending on what you paid for it, you probably bought the OhSnap “normal model”. And you also are supposed to use the “plug” that goes in the opening for the stand to work and hold the grip properly.
