I really enjoyed this tutorial. I'll be revisiting frequently to solidify my understanding of the details. I love your process and decisions, Peter. Thank you for sharing. 🤗
Many thanks for this new video. @Bec: If there a beautiful sunny day there, it means there is more than a beautiful thing there,.... but you will need a mirror to understand what I mean. @Shay: Many thanks for posing in this video... you are an actress; you are a "must" in this channel. @Peter: Many thanks for the retouching videos. I always thought it was boring and complicated, but I recently started enjoying it, because there is a clear methodology for doing it, without damaging the image, without damaging the skin of the Model nor whatever surround there... and what is very important fully flexible and discretional to the retoucher taste. I still need to learn more but... very happy with the progress I have made so far.
Thanks Peter, Bec, and Shea(sp?) Love the Photography and the videos. always feels like hanging with friends and learning heaps. My photography has improved greatly -
Masterful control of the available light and beautiful tonality in the model's skin. In my old age, I really ought to try some model photography, preferably of some ladies younger than myself( thats not difficult at all )!!!
A very good video about the right lighting! Now also available in German dubbed form, thank you very much for that! Now I can follow all of your videos with the utmost attention! Thank you.
Peter, I am a Inspire member and am curious if this layer action is available on inspire. Thanks in advance, your greatest fan from The Netherlands. Rien Gieltjes
Hi Rien, yes it is available on Inspire, there is a 'downloads' section (top right hand corner of any page) and it is available there, inspire.peter-coulson.com.au/downloads
Hi peter what is sola curve, how's it done and is something you can use in other editing software like luminar new which is what i use? looks really useful for dust sport and defect checking. many thanks :)
Just had a very unpleasant experience with a model while trying to apply your model training or method. Unknown to me at the time, model was very sensitve about her face because still recovering from a traumatic injury and anticipating reconstrutive surgery to fix. I stressed "drifting", continuous movement, etc., with the goal of obtaining a natural look. I must have been extremely clumsy about it, however, because next day, model suddenly complained that I made her feel ugly and also incompetent, although she was an experienced model. I actually thought she was attractive, but, either I was incompetent in my approach, or she was overly sensitive about her looks. Ever had an experience like this? Had another model one time who later complained about being deeply offended because of some remark she said I made about her feet. No idea what was it was. I feel like I'm walking on eggs dealing with models sometimes, while trying to maintain a dialogue, expressing appreciation, and giving feedback. I guess we're in the "look business", dealing with human vanity, and have to be extremely tactful.

Nice video Peter as usual. It's interesting how much light gray concrete from the floor reflects...
It can make a big difference in the final image.
Gradient map trick… thanks, Peter.

Off topic, but are you still using the Leica Sl2S say with old M lenses like the 75/1.4?
Yes but in my studio my fav camera is the Hasselblad H6D-50 I now have 3 of them so I'm not so scared if one dies 😁

Greetings to all of you! Seems the 'boob dress' has gotten run down quite a bit.
Hope you are well Arne. This is a different dress I've had at the studio for years
@PeterCoulsonPhotographer thanks heaps Peter, I am well. It's a nice dress I think and fit Shai very well.
My question is... Is Bec a Demon fan or a Cat fan???? Our pending marriage depends on the answer!
At least she has a cat
