We did the speedboat trip from Phuket (Rassada) to Phi Phi (tonsai). I would not do the speedboat again. It was overcrowded and uncomfortable. I saw a few people complaining that their back was hurting after the speedboat crossing because they got jutted around a lot at the front. We couldn't see a thing outside the speedboat either which was disappointing. Just sat looking at people's blank faces for over an hour. No internet out there on the sea, no signal. When we got to Tonsai we had difficulty getting off the speedboat. It is not for people with mobility issues. If you have problems with your neck, back or joints, avoid the speedboat. Next time we will take the ferry. It may take slightly longer, but it looks more comfy relaxed and forgiving if you have joint issues
After reading so many horror stories of both ways and it being a once in a lifetime opportunity ( maybe more than once 😋) we are so glad we booked a private charter boat. Our own speed boat for 7 of us, a crew of 3 ( guide, skipper & engineer) complimentary drinks, fruit, breakfast upon arrival. Bluetooth sounds on the boat. We were able to do Phi Phi & James Bond islands in one day with plenty of stops on the day. Not cheap at 32k baht but we were able to change the itinerary on the fly and get to places very quickly. We felt like royalty & so glad we went this route when we passed the fully loaded ferries.
feel like they cramp too many people in the speed boat, gets a bit uncomfortable after a while. Ferry would definitely be more comfortable especially if its a full day tour.
You guys are awesome 🙌 Thank you for the video which has helped us make the decision to book the ferry. Our 11 year old son will particularly love finding all the cockroaches 🪳😉

Awesome information!! I want one suggestion. I'm staying 4 nights in phuket and 3 nights in krabi. I was thinking of transferring from phuket to Krabi in a big ferry. But then I thought, let me get transferred from phuket to phi phi first in morning, then do attractions like maya bay, vikings etc for 2-3 hours in afternoon. Then in evening get transferred from phi phi to Krabi by ferry. Or maybe even stay overnight at phi phi and transfer to Krabi the next day by ferry. These both options are possible right? So I will book two seperate ferries, one from Phuket to phi phi and second from phi phi to Krabi. And book one tour in phi phi do the sight seeing and snorkeling. Please guide if that's doable?

Thank you for choosing my country as your travelling places.
Thanks for the video review and comparison.
Question - can you purchase tickets same day/couple days prior, or can you purchase in advance (online)?

I think for island tour speed boat is the only option, isn't it?... Ferris just picks and drops at phukhet or phi phi
Do all the speedboat tours start early? Is there anything later?
Rocking the TI bag 😀
Bit of free advertising 😂
