  • Inside the LA office of Born X Raised Spanto sits down to discuss how he was able to create a brand full of personal meaning while simultaneously fighting cancer. Born X Raised is much more than just another street wear brand, vowing to create a space to speak up against gentrification and the commodification of culture.

I lived next door to 2tone in the canals when we were kids. I held out for 30 years till I could no longer afford it. Gentrification from the beach to South Central now.

Good job at keeping everything balanced,God always gives the hardest to his strongest soldiers. Also on a health note you should try Ozone therapy , it goes through the blood brain barrier, I'm still reading about it because I need to buy my own devise to get rid of the anesthesia for a surgery, also you should try chlorella to bind the toxins, of chemo, I really hope you have some one who loves you and cooks you good home cooked meals! So cool about being an entrepeneur, its good to make some money and follow your dreams! Keep flying high with the Eagles !!!!

I appreciate your passion but nobody owns a look or fashion. There is nothing new under the sun and duplication is the highest flattery. I remember when there were no Latinos in Venice. I grew up in ELA and just watched a video of people in Japan who are rocking cholo culture! Makeup and cars and clothing! Why not? Why should we be offended? Let’s have an open hand and heart with all this. One day we’ll die and what have we given or shared? What will be our legacy? I pray you walk in health hermanito.

The dodgers are doing that exact same thing that you speak of, yet you tend to collaborate with them multiple times. Remember the Battle of Chavez Ravine! The more you know 🌈

I guess blasting at your enemies and slanging drugs in your neighborhood isn’t doing anything wrong because you grew up their and it’s all you guys knew. Even though I do believe the injunctions are stupid because regardless of them, people are still going to be from their hood and continue to run it the way it has been for 60 plus years.
