If Pacers knew how to close out games with a lead, that series is probably tied 2-2 at worst. Mavs are not the Pacers. Maybe Celtics were playing down to the competition, but theyve had a cakewalk of a path to the finals. If they come out thinking the intensity level is gonna be the same as the other eastern teams, theyre in for a rude awakening. Itll be tough but Ill take Mavs in 6
This is another good example of why I don’t bet on sports. Before the postseason, even before this series, I didn’t see Dallas coming through.
And so I’m tempted to say Celtics, but now I’m not sure. Honestly don’t really want to see either team win the Finals. And it is interesting that Kyrie was a Celtic, and Porzingis was a Maverick… if he plays. But still.
I'm a Mavs fan who picked up your channel when Mavs and Kings were clawing in the play-in spot to hear the Kings side. But I enjoy your channel so much I kept watching it. You're fun to listen to and analysis is spot-on from a neutral observer. DEUCE AND MO, DEUCE AND MO, LETS GO MAVS

Mavs got 3 positions averaging 30+, 25+, 20+ consistent as hell. (Luka/Kyrie/Center). Prolific AND consistent is tough to beat. Mavs in 6, Finishing at home for the big show.
That center spot has been MONEY. What an upgrade
I big thing that ppl don’t realize is that the mavs basically created a loophole were they’re basically getting superstar numbers from the center position without any drawbacks you have 2 centers combining for 20-20 every night on 70%+ with great defense and it’s not like Gianni’s or whoever where yeah they’re amazing but take them out and you can win the backup mins nope they’re straight crashing and playing 110% for 48 mins because they split mins to stay fresh it’s like a cheat code and they’re 25 and 20…teams probably hate playing the mavs you have to keep those guys out of the paint and stop stop Luka and Kai insane shot making which is exhausting, and then on the other side the defense is suffocating and it’s damn near impossible to get easy buckets at the rim they make you work on both ends constantly. It’s like they’re constantly draining your energy just to stay in the game and then by the end it’s just the Dallas globe trotters because you’re exhausted and the mavs are all fresh because Luka takes over and kai rests then kai takes over and Luka rests the centers are always fresh and the wings never have to do too much because Luka is just feeding them open cuts and 3s the whole damn team is just like a perpetual motion machine
Luka is a psychopath. He’s lost five game 4s in his career. He’s now 5-0 in game 5s following a loss (4 on the road) averaging 35-10-9 lol what. When he decides you’re dead, it’s a wrap.

You touched on it Duece and especially from Mavs fans perspective that mini in game series in Sacramento was the beginning of this team galvanizing into this version, those were huge games at the time and the team built off of it and grew the chemistry and never looked back. I knew we would close this out tonight I said it in the last videos comments, we were just the better team. As far as the Finals are concerned.. I think the Celtics will tough and have some games where they are shooting the 3 well but This Mavs team is different, there's something about them. Luka and Kyrie are almost unstoppable. I think we have the perfect balance of strengths to finish the job, I believe. Mavs in 6

Luka is the best basketball player in the NBA. Not athletic, not shooter, not defender, but player. What it takes to win a chip. People try to say how Tatum and Brown are better at other things which might be true, but Luka exudes winning by playing his game and now with this defense behind him, good luck.

An interesting thing to remember is a closer doesn't have to only win games at the end - they can end series in the beginning of close-out games. Especially on the road, like he did with the Suns a couple years back.
It doesn’t seem long ago that the Mavs and Kings were playing a pivotal back to back to avoid the play-in. Man… even as a mavericks fan, I didn’t see all this coming. Great show yall!

Finally got to see a Luka Special! A statement game, closeout game of another Big Bad team! Luka was the Solivan Sniper again, like game 7, 2 yrs ago in PHX! Now the world is going to see what Luka can do with a good NBA roster, no 4 Time DPOY, or All Defensive players, no 6th man, or no top 3 player 25 and under, no Face of the league and yng MJ. We just got Luka & Kyrie! Go Mavs!

I mean, to be fair, Sasha Vezenkov is a Euro League MVP in his own right, and we haven't used him or gotten anything out of him. We can't even seem to find a role for him. So there's no guarantee Luka would have even BECOME "Luka" in Sacramento.

You guys are very mature to be able to move on from the Kings drafting Bagley over Luka. It was infuriating at the time and will always be painful. The Kings have lived in the lottery my entire life and the only time we got the 1st overall pick it was that garbage draft where the top picks were Pervis, Elliot, King, and ?. And now to watch Luka do this after he took us out by flopping on Monk's knee just adds injury to insult. I will never forgive Vlade
On Ant: He is a fantastic player but he’s very immature and that’s a huge issue. Go watch his press conference, then watch Kyrie and you’ll see why the Mavs won without even watching the game. Go watch Luka’s press conference after they got beat by Golden State two years ago in the Western Conference Finals (at age 23). For him to get better, that’s a major area of growth. Many NBA players get stuck here. Mavs are on a roll like 2011. It’s a team that is playing great in every phase. Boston has a long list of fantastic two way players. But they also underperform at times and they haven’t been tested at all in the playoffs. They beat the Mavs in both games but this is a different team.

If it makes you feel better Mavs fans still haven’t forgiven Cuban for passing on Giannis to save $400k in cap space for the hope of recruiting Dwight Howard in FA despite Donnie Nelson pleading to pick Giannis (when scouting European talent was clearly the Mavs biggest strength).
The difference is we had no idea Giannis would turn into that. There was legit buzz about Luka
@@DeuceandMo that’s fair although PHX’ decision is far more unforgivable than SAC’s. They literally hired Luka’s Slovenian national team coach and passed because the owner wanted the local kid. That’s not to say Ayton was the worst pick in the moment, but even then it was shocking they didn’t take Luka. I almost wonder if that played any role in SAC’s decision-like the Suns have this dude’s national team coach and they passed??
And there is a lot of truth to that with Giannis, but Don and Donnie Nelson really pioneered European scouting so if anybody did have an idea what Giannis could become, it would’ve been Donnie Nelson.
