the runes on the broom look a little like "Gern's" - in game, Vex stole the broom of flying from a guest character named "Gern Blanston". it was a whole thing.
Pyrah was there because that's where the rift to the Fire Plane was... hard to guard it from another location.
Headmaster Cerkonos does look native, and his VA, Robbie Daymond, apparently has Apache in his past according to Ancestry DNA (he'd thought it was Cherokee/Blackfoot)
Keyleth's leitmotif is probably my favorite. She turned into a fire elemental, an enhancement of her wildshape. The Aramente is to master all the elements (yes, very Avatar-esque) but also to reconnect with their fellow Ashari tribes.
c'mon - Flush of love is an incredible pun.
