Excellent tip! I confirm that the times that I am getting on the speed modelling challenges would have been impossible without the autodimensioning option.
@aliammouri2522 Curious: Do you use auto-dim on a regular basis, or did you use it before speed modeling challenges? I never could get acclimated to it. It just seemed foreign to me..
In AutoCAD way back when you always worked in coordinates & keyboard shortcuts, so I got used to having the mouse in my left hand - still a good tip for autodimensioning: You never let go of the mouse 🙂
if you hold the mouse while attempting to auto-dimension, you tend to "move" your mouse hand, which causes the dimension to blank out. So I prefer to let go of the mouse to auto-dimension - however, you might have a more steady hand than me :-)
@@TooTallToby Good point. I've never had a problem with this but come to think of it I probably lift my hand a little bit from the mouse when I've finished the line.
@@TooTallToby I swear I couldn't wrap my head around it 2 months ago, but now I've "kind of" got the hang of it. It really is a big transition from the ole "sketch, then dimension.." You're welcome, Toby! Another helpful and informative video! I gotta say, your last three have been top notch!
for the first time dragging dimensions actually makes sense :D. thank you big time
