I watched the Solidworks tutorial on this one, and I thought it would be straightforward in Onshape. But some of the SW shortcuts didn't work, so it took me a bit longer than I hoped. Took about 45 min. to get 4969.69g (2nd try--I missed part of the sweep path on the first try).

@TooTallToby I noticed that you like to have the rib centreline pierce the arc which then causes this problem with the rib tool. Another equally annoying variation is to have the left and right edges of the rib pierce the arc and the centre of the rib connects to the arc ever so slightly below the lip of the arc. This version is potentially aesthetically superior as it maintains the arc without making a little tab in it for the rib. This is a rib version I'd equally be interested in figuring out an elegant solution for along with the style you favour in your practice models.

For the C'Bore hole in live Monday part - use a mate connector to set the start point. Select mate connector from hole tool then click on construction line between the end point and the center point of the construction line. Then set the connector on the end point just as you would in an assembly connector. I agree with everything except the shaded sketch. I am a "happy clicker" - I click a lot with my mouse, if I click less or more than I should in a sketch - shaded sketch tells me I messed up. On the other hand, it is really annoying when I do contour within a contour, within a contour... things start to get dark. :D Thank you for the awesome video

I am interested how to get this rib done in onshape. As long as the rib does not go to the very top all works as expected. But when trying the top it errors.

1554g, Onshape, 14:09 Stymied mostly by the ribs not generating, so I had to go old school and make my own ribs. I should have gone DOM's route.

I'm always losing my selection too. Also annoying is that mirror command defaults to part and doesn't remember that my last use was a feature mirror.

You go way too fast, guess this isnt a beginner tutorial and half the shit you do you dont say how, for example the VERY first thing u make a sketch and then somehow all the line and rectangle ect tools pop up at your cursor? no mention of how just rush through so quick i have to put u on .25x to be able to even know what your doing and still dont because no keys are shown and no explanation is given.
