Keith Broadley needs to do this again WITHOUT the constant chattering of the presenter. This was more an advert for the product than a tutorial on how to reproof the garment...
Great video, bearded man clearly passionate.... Interviewer however lacks the subtle art of shutting the f*** up. If you ask a question, don't interrupt the answer. We don't care about you, we want to know about Barbour.
Wholeheartedly agree! I do wish the interviewer would shut up. It was a golden opportunity to Lear and he kept yapping. Keith Broadley handled that waxing expertly. It is a real pity that here in New York, we no longer have these free waxing events. There was one in the Fall and one in the Spring, where you would see them do this. Sad business.
Why didn't he let the craftsman speak. There is probably nothing that, that man doesn't know about waxing a jacket but the young guy kept interjecting with his comments. Do shut up and learn to listen. Then you may develop into a man.
Nada! Barbour should never be ironed or put closer to really hot areas like next to heating radiator or fireplace. It will damage your jacket. Wonder why you wanna iron your jacket anyway, wax jacket over time starts to show character which is very unique to individual who owns em. Just re-wax it or get it done ever year or two.
tapsahtip, in the US a company called Orvis will send your jacket to Barbour and get it rewaxed and delivered back to their shop for about $40, or you could just buy a tin of thorn proof dressing for $20 and spend an hour doing it yourself;.
I've just had a go at re-waxing my Barbour Border jacket and an old 'Stylo' wax jacket using my homemade concoction of candle wax and beeswax from the guy next door's bees, hence, saving a few £s...hmmm!? Do you know the actual constituents of Barbour Thornproof Dressing which leave that nice, dark, lustrous finish...anyone?
oh man, the host sounds clueless..Jay Z, wtf.I wonder which Steve mcqueen movies he actually knows..none, dear host: please don't wear ..Barbour,stick to your Armani Exchange
No he isn't clueless. he is talking about some artists would make this much more popular. There is a lot of influence in todays generation through hiphop. They would make this brand trend.
If the man was from South Shields, had a geordie accent and looked liked he had just stepped off a fishing trawler I might respect his views. Barbour should employ people like that if they want to talk about history and culture, not some bespectacled bearded yank who has never even looked at the North Sea.
I have often reproofed my ancient Barbour, but only with wax. I've never used Keith Broadley.

This was cool, but might have been better if the interviewer would stop interrupting the interviewee.
How much wax do I need? I want to reproof my Border jacket. I have a 40ml tin, is that enough or do I need to buy a 200ml tin?
Is the black & white filter effect necessary?
Title reads like tutorial, content is sales pitch. Dissapoint.
Not to mention this dumbass host who can't even be bothered to pretend to care and is constantly looking into the camera.
Fuck people like this. Greed

This was great. Anyone know why the wax doesn’t soak through to the lining? There isn’t a barrier, as far as I can tell, only fabric.
How often would you do this
Not enough info on the proofing!
I have a question. Can I iron my wax jacket (Barbour Durham) in low temperature?

why doesn't Barbour sell their wax online/amazon?
Vijay mehra it does
Vijay mehra v
They do; don't buy on Amazon, their jackets are substantially cheaper on the Barbour website.
how much does it cost to get your jacket waxed at barbour ?
Pretty sure its £35, and you pay the postage to the South Shields factory. A tin of the wax is about £12.

Don't worry, we're not going hip hop ;-) We recommend our Barbour Thornproof wax for the best results.
