John Danaher is the most famous and sought after BJJ coach in the entire world.
This is a clip off his new BJJ Fundamental series all about the closed guard.
BJJ Fanatics was started by a pair of black belts (Bernardo Faria & Michael Zenga) who feel that nothing is more important than improving your BJJ skills as much as possible in the least amount of time. Their aim was to create a shop for BJJ Students who don’t look at BJJ as a sport - but as a lifestyle.

These details are so amazing. I hit an Armbar yesterday in class after studying John's dvd before class. I never get armbars!
The level of detail John puts into instructionals is truly a rarefied art form. He exudes knowledge in every minuscule detail of sometimes complex systems of movement, yet brings the layman along in a very digestible manner. Top coaching every single time.
Even if you only watch John's videos on RUclips, you will become better at BJJ..
You are not kidding! I have watched videos before class and hit some of his techniques.
@@mouthguardcomic Yes I have just come to accept that I will be purchasing his instructionals for the foreseeable future.. I am not kidding when I say that my budget is planned around their releases. If you have one other person to practice with while watching these, it is just as valuable as a private lesson with a world class BJJ instructor. Actually I think it's better in a way, because you have no time limits and you can pause and replay the info til you got it. You could almost just learn from them and go to a gym to spar and drill with ppl and not attend any classes... although its definitely better to do both imo.
@@s23900 I almost hate to admit how many of his DVDs I have bought. I look at it as an investment though. I usually get a tap in class due to the specifics he teaches in his videos after I watch them. - I also agree that it would be possible to learn a lot from watching the videos and then going to drill them and perhaps try them in a roll. At the same time, so much would be lost doing it that way. Yet, if it were not for DVDs and in the past magazines, books, etc., my game would not be as good as it is now (relatively speaking).
Best watched at 1.5x speed 🙏🏾
@@Shaka_Garami Lol! I usually fall asleep watching them at night. I may have to speed it up faster than 1.5 x speed to help with that.
Encore une vidéo exceptionnelle. John Danaher révolutionne véritablement les techniques. C'est le JJB 2.0.
Thank u! This is so systematic. U know which phase to improve on until u master the whole sequence
I’m a simple man. I see John Danaher, I press play
thank you for the video
The best part is the advice at the end.
John Danaher's they type of guy that says.....figure of four. I like the grips, and wrist to wrist detail. Grateful for so much awesome content! What do people think about pointed toes vs activated hamstrings? I have always felt that activating the hamstrings provide better pressure and control.
What instructional is this from?
Is there a video where he explains the number 1 grip for getting top knot? He briefly mentioned it here
...he shows it.
How do you achieve this control of the opponent's upper body prior to the lock in no gi?

Concept arm to the center line is the same it's just the mechanics that change a bit. Two on one makes the strong connection to control the shoulders instead of the cross collar. 🤙
@@Cody.Tafoya thanks for the link ☺
Is tori Maried
Or he want to scratch you ? :-(
Good teacher . But I don’t know why I see mostly his Marilyn Monroe feet. 😐
so he's basicaly stealing roger gracie's attacks from closed guard and teaching as a system?lol
and people complained when kenan stole his movements ....
Similar, but different details.
