I used to get my combos from AI back then I think they were also maximum damage combos.. I remember playing a Roger jnr AI got punished air combo with a dragon uppercut finish for wall splat and it left me with 5h maybe less I always thought it was impossible till I saw this it also is the reason I still play tekken today bring back roger or alex atleast 😅.
This is just a theory (and moreso for tekken 5) that the AI ki charges and stomps after a KO to make the player rage so they're more likely to continue and put more coins in the arcade cabinet
Tekken 5 DR remains my favorite tekken game, it's filled with an insane amount of content and as far as balancing goes in this series it wasn't really the best but it's among the better games in that regard, not to mention that it has my absolute favorite fighting game soundtrack in the snow castle stage.
AI was supremely difficult. My favorite thing about this game is the K.O. and instant replay. Compared to recent installments, the K.O. doesnt slow down time, maintaining flow. I like this style.
@@E24KLawson my point is the AI still fall for certain string or moves like what an actual player would making it more fun unlike in tekken 7. It is not just the combo or whatever moveset the AI did, they also tend to fall for certain string that online or arcade player would do. Lets say for example how bryan 1,2,3 string works in older tekken, the low kick would 50/50 hit but in tekken 7 the bot will block it 90% of the time making it feels like ur not playing against actual player. Basically saying the "human" aspect of the bot AI is still there to make the game more fun to play rather than what we have in tekken 7
I still blame Jinpachi in vanilla Tekken 5 whenever he beats you, soemtimes he'll ki charge at you. It got passed on to T5:DR AI's, & all of the online modes from any Tekken game.
Considering AIs back then, they probably hired good players to record sequences and punishes it's crazy
Lol, very hard is just a AI bot with Knees inputs
this is ghost ai
meaning the combos and such come from real player accounts
bro did you SEE the DVJ!!?

its not just srquence they react when you try to throw a power punch they step back

Jinpachi does this a bunch too

I think it's a fact that from Tekken 7 it has been lowered the difficulty of the game
kinda miss this kind of AI in old tekken, it just works almost the same as how an actual player would play

@@fp45 aye fellow touhou enjoyer thx man. Quite rare to see touhou fans in tekken circle usually xD

I do not understand why we can't have this level of tekken AI in 2023.
Because it's based off of player data from the aecade release which T8 won't have while T7 was made ok a shoestring budget.
Devs suck
Nina’s A.I. somehow blocks everything and punishes everything you do. She was a nightmare to deal with
Nina and Anna’s AI are both aggressive. Blocks everything while keeping the pressure with 50/50 lows it’s scary.
That's why i like DR over Tekken 7 it's like playing against another player. It makes me keep coming back.
The most ruthless thing the T5 AI ever did was outfitting Bryan with the cardboard bum home.

Might have to check out T5DR again. I don't remember Tekken ai ever doing juggles
Tekken 6 on the PSP also could do pretty long juggles. Half your life gone kind of juggle
T6 PSP ai is decent compared to T5DR where ai punishes everything jdcr style.
Yooo let's go Exoprimal! (A game without AI! 😜)
The Psp Harder Tekken 5 dr Dojos are Tougher in my Opinion
Heaven dojo more like *HELL* dojo. Even on easy difficulty, I was fighting against AI like Ultra Hard.
Yeah, Tekken 8 needs to have AI that is as good as this.
Why is jins down 4 launch punishable in Tekken 5 DR? That seems like a mistake.
He got really nerfed from T4 to T5. Down 4 was launch punishable in 5.0 as well.
thats so booty.

Does the ai get harder depending on your rank?
Is this PS3 DR?
Psp
@@theimperfect2507it's PS3 DR. You can tell by the resolution and FOV.
I wonder how many Ls this guy took against this nigh-cheating AI.
Call me weak but i ragequit a lot if AI just input-reads me like a mf.
0:38 lmao the stomp at the end too, you sure this isnt ranked battle?
