I picked up an entire set of Blue Willow marked Japan at an estate sale very, very, very inexpensively. The set not only included the dishes but everything from salt & pepper shakers, platters, sugar & creamer set to the most beautiful pitcher. Plus many other pieces I haven't even unpacked yet. I'm totally in love with it. It was a wonderful surprise, I hadn't been looking anything like it but am totally hooked now!
thank you so much for this video Because......15 years ago I bought a vase for $20 that I absolutely loved. it was marked on the bottom but all it looked like was 5 pinpoint dots in the porcelain/ceramic. I studied those dots for 3 months and decided it said Minton. I knew no one else would see it or believe me........Today's video you flashed by a pair of vases and I thought, that style looks like my vase but you didn't say anything about them. After the video I thought let me look up Chinoiserie so I completely understand what it means. Didn't a picture of those vases pop up which are in the Metropolitan Museum of Art and they are called bottles. Mine is exactly the same bottle but mine has a different bird painted on either side of it and they were made by Minton! I would have never known if I hadn't watched your video today. It is so exciting to know you won a piece that is in a museum. This is actually my 2nd museum piece as I own a plate that is also in the Hillwood Museum in D.C.
Oh thank you for napkin folding this is an inspiration if I try this to my Tablescape definitely shout you out. Thank you so much for showing us your beautiful collection. Happy weekend
Love the blue and white. My mother and dad had collected for years. When they down sized, I got all of the items. No other family members wanted any of it. Their losts! I’ve added on to the collection. Thank you for showing us your collection.

Thank you Lady Mary Beth. I stumbled onto your website last week. I love to embellish my home for the holidays, seasons, and special occasions. You have taken me to a higher level 😊. I have embellished our home all week, pulling out many lovely items that we already own. I pulled out a thread crochet dresser scarf, sat an old dresser tray and 10 lovely old cologne bottles that were just stored away in one of the dresser drawers - making a lovely dresser display. Yes, you do elevate us to a higher level of elegance.
This is my favorite video. Thank you so much. Have always wanted a Chinoiserie mirror, the frame with all the bracts and a few dangling bells on the top pediment.

Thank you so much!! My birthday was lovely and thanks for the wishes. I hosted a Chinoiserie themed luncheon yesterday to celebrate with my friends. It was all about a pop of pink with the blue and white. We filmed, so I hope to share it soon. Lots of busy work there and hard to focus on the camera. I am a one man band. Ha!
I know about the galleon in Manila with Magellan Galleon that is why how my mom loves this chinoiserie I have a lot of this pieces in our home in the Philippines . Your video is always inspired me to watch the history

Looking forward to your RUclips’s. Thanks to you, I have found Waterford crystal and a love for the more beautiful things to incorporate into my home. It really can be fun.
Thank you so much! We are at our second home in Germany now. Found Chinoiserie here that I had forgotten we had, including a ginger jar found at a flea market for 2 Euros.
Hi, Your video was very informative, I, myself lean toward the Dutch blue and white. Many years ago I was stationed in Germany (1982/83), and one of my trips was to Holland and that was where I fell in love with the Delft blue and white scenic pieces with windmills. I did have all of it displayed, but a year ago a tree fell on our house (no damage to plates and teapots) but I had to pack it all up so they could repair half of our house. We are back in our house but I decided to make a change and didn't put out the Dutch. Most of my kitchen is now about the teapots and teacups. Right now my search is for a Foley teacup that is absolutely stunning, the one that got away from me was $100, my husband would have killed me if I had bought it. Anyway, I enjoyed your video, Thank you
Glad you have embraced Chinoiserie. I just love this design element. Featured pops of pink in my birthday celebration. You can look for that video on my channel.
Great vid, learned SO much, great to see how 'our Delft' is so popular around the world. 'Delft' is actually a city in Holland, for those who want to know. 💙
I love your videos! The way you just sound so thrilled at your acquisitions just makes me smile to myself. It reminds me of when I bring my collectible purchases home and am unwrapping them. Aww I make an event of it, complete with wine glass and music. My friends think I'm crazy but begrudgingly submit to my nice items lol. You validate my passion in this area. I am grateful. Happy Birthday and your dress looks great and fits you to a "T".
You have really inspired me with the beautiful blue & white and I have started collecting some lovely pieces. I look forward to displaying my collection! Love your blue & white dress. You are such an inspiration! Blessings!
I absolutely love chinoiserie pieces and have started a collection. I find the blue and white so refreshing. I just rewatched this video which I saved from several months ago when I first discovered your channel. It is my favorite! After a recent trip to Ireland, I was inspired to take out some Irish linen in a Chinoiserie blue and white pattern that a favorite aunt gave me years ago. It's now on our dining room buffet. Thank you for the chinoiserie history! I also visited the Waterford Crystal factory and store in Waterford this spring. So beautiful!! Though my budget was limited, I was able to buy a beautiful crystal fleur-de-lis paper weigh. Please consider a video on Waterford Crystal 's history and your role in the company. Thank you for your videos and great insight! ❤️
As always, I'm so excited to watch your next video...you make it so interesting, a present it so well. I really loved your idea on the upside down bowl, on how else you may use another piece of your collection. I have always favored blue willow dishes too, and loved the coy fish. Happy Birthday and enjoy it . Thank you for sharing.

Love love your video ❤❤. Love love how everything is so exquisite ❤❤Love the history behind Chinoiserie. Learned a new way to fold a napkin. I want to know how do you know so many different crystal patterns? Elevate your everyday🥰😘 Thank you Lady Mary Beth ❤
Lady Mary Beth has stated in previous videos that she had worked for the Waterford company. Her knowledge of crystal, chinaware and silverware is truly at expert level. I love watching her on YT!
Thank you so much!! I hosted my birthday luncheon yesterday with a pop of pink and Chinoiserie. It was fabulous and I am exhausted today. Packing for Germany tonight.
@@LadyMaryBeth Happy Happy birthday Lady Mary Beth 🎂🎁🥳 Many Many Blessings, Good health and Well wishes 🙏🙏🙏May you have an Awesome flight ✈ and trip.🎉
@@marilurodri4801 I appreciate it! My suitcases are full of tablecloths and napkins. We have a nice collection at our home in Germany, but I can’t help myself.
Wonderful history and examples of Chinoiserie! You have a beautiful collection and I think your table and backdrop for your dinner party is so lovely! I hope you have a very Happy Birthday 🎉🎁 celebration and thank you so much for providing us with the interesting history of Chinoiserie 💙
Thanks, Terianne! Hosted my birthday luncheon yesterday with this design element and pops of pink. Such fun!
I found two beautiful pieces a few days ago at Burke’s. One was a lovely bowl for $12.99 and the other was a huge vase for $16.99. I am just getting started with my collection.
That is awesome! Chinoiserie would be a great holiday look with tartan plaid or red accents.
What a brilliant idea you’ve done with the inverted bowl used as pedestal 💙🤍💙🤍💙🤍 I love everything CHINOISERIE. And also, may I know where you purchased your blue/white outfit? You look stunning in that dress 💘
See my community page for a link to the dress. 😉

4/20/21 Greetings and Blessings from Dallas Texas USA🇺🇸
This is my first time watching this video and was not disappointed. I have too many Chinoiserie pieces "scattered" around my home with no rhyme or reason many were oven by past tenants so they are very dear to me. ...this video gives me ideas that will bring elegance to my tables and my red Chnese furniture. Thank you. I am subscribing.
I appreciate you watching and subscribing! 😘
Love it
Finally the chinoiserie segment!! Loved learning the history and seeing your collection!! Where did you find that perfect dress for the segment? Love it!💙💙
So glad you enjoyed the Chinoiserie! The dress is actually from Amazon. Will share a link when I find it again.

Mary Beth I just found you channel a couple of weeks ago and I’ve binge watched them all. How fun you are!! I also thrift and I’ve found and decorated my home with fabulous finds. I’m a fellow Texas. I live in the Dallas area. We have several local antique malls and thrift shops. Looking forward to your next video.
So nice to hear from you! Dallas is one of my favorite shopping spots. Have you been to Upscale Resale on W. Campbell? Pop in and tell Miss Betty I said hello. We are at our home in Germany now. Flea markets are not allowed right now.
@@LadyMaryBeth I’ve not been to the one on Campbell but, I shop Highstreet often. Have you shopped Forestwood Antique Mall? There are a couple of good ones in Fort Worth and a wonderful resale shop on Camp Bowie. She buys estate sale and always has beautiful Waterford crystal. Flores is her name and she has beautiful things. Enjoy your time in Germany. Hot here in Texas.
@@cynthiagreen6927 Thanks for the heads up. Will visit these shops on my next trip to Dallas. It’s cool and rainy here in Germany. Glad to escape the Texas heat and humidity.
Beautiful)

Yes, those fish! Borrowed from a friend, but was lucky to find the EXACT PAIR on eBay this week. My heart is happy!
@@LadyMaryBeth yay I cannot wait to see it
Well, Happy Early Birthday wishes to you!
I appreciate the birthday wishes! Hosted my Chinoiserie birthday luncheon yesterday. Pops of pink took it in a posh direction.
Me encantan tus vídeos y por tus vídeos visite las tiendas d antigüedades encontré artículos increíbles. Gracias por tu trabajo. 😊😉🙏
Would you please tell us where and how do you store your items when you aren't using or displaying them?
Some of the Chinoiserie found a home on top of that small cabinet. Many pieces were used yesterday at my birthday luncheon. I will incorporate some items into other rooms. I do have storage when not in use.
