I've been practicing this technique for the last 2 years and its still tough. I definitely agree with the relaxing. It's one of those intuitive things when you've been playing for awhile. Just like taking it slow and building up speed really trains the muscle memory quickly. Thanks for posting again, your videos are great. I wouldn't mind seeing some more harp philosophy videos.
If your life's a mess, it's a good reason to play the blues...thank you very much for all your lessons mr Dan, you have help me a lot to discover and fufiil a new passion, much respect and appreciation to you sir!
Welcome back!!! It's nice to see you after all this time. Thank you for pointed out this technique. As a primarily rack-mounted player, I often find that when I try to shake my head to get the "warbles", my hand speeds up to match my head's rhythm. The side-to-side is a perfect way for me to incorporate the warlbing sound into my rack playing without having to shake my head. Regardless of how solidly you currently play it, you have helped me along my path by adding more tricks to my bag.
So happy to see you back!! Big fan of your lessons, but more so, your playing. Many thanks for the outstanding pointers from someone I can relate to. You are THE MAN...DAN!! Hang in there with the daily grind.
good to see you back! my 1st you tube lesson was from you (low hanging fruit) now i have a harmonica page here on you tube . thank you for taking the time an effort to make the lessons with out the lessons up here i wold have never started to play
Great to see you're back, man. I just picked up a harmonica and your videos have been really useful and encouraging, but I was worried you had disappeared. Looking forward to seeing more and good luck with the job and sorting out the moving business!
Welcome back Dan, good to see your happy face again. I tried to do the side to side over the years to no avail. I think if you can't do it forget about it, just move your head from side to side or rock it from side to side with your hands. Best of Irish luck in your new place. Regards
Good to have you back. Good to know that there are things a pro has problem with. I have problem playing tabs using the pucker. I can do them by u- blocking, I can pucker but I end up losing the single note with the pucker. I guess we all have something to over come. Thanks for a new video.
I really enjoyed this Dan, i can do this but i haven't practiced it lately so this refreshed my memory. Keep doing these great video's it really helps us mid level guy's.. Thanks a million and you always sound amazing.. Respectfully Sonny Boy Bergandine
Hi Dan. I notice you're using the Marine Band. Nearly all of your videos is see the Special 20. Any reason? . I can't make my mind up between the two and my Suzuki Harpmaster
I just bought a Harmonica, after watching your vids, I want to drop it down the toilet, :-). keep making the vids man, ....I want to play " Torture never stops" by Zappa, featuring Captain Beefheart, show me...Please. ya doing a great job.
May as well be, after singing an "embochure-required" instrument your lips get more firm and you get more controll over them, so oral sex might get spiced up a step or two :D
