Extreme Ballerina French Shadow Effect | Worst Client Ever

- Hiya,
Today we have Fay in and we’re going to start with her thumbs doing shadow effect nails.
We’re going to start by adding the forms to the nails and dehydrating and priming the nails. I’m going in with Natural Beige at the cuticle area and shaping it at and angle past the free edge. Leave it to set and Pinch, file it to a sharp edge if it needs it. I’m then going to mix Athena and Grand Estate to paint over the edge of the acrylic. Cure and then finish the sculpt with Mega White. I’m then going to file the nail into shape.

I love this look Kirsty.💞 I know Faye is your friend and your banter is how you interact but it was really hard to hear your tutorial with her interrupting and carrying on like a two bob watch. The end result was stunning.

Faye is becoming a bit of a diva, very demanding!!! I like to hear Kirsty explain what she's doing too. I feel sorry for Kirsty, I wouldn't like a client like Fay, if I had one, I would be telling them if they don't like my work, go elsewhere! 😊💖💅

Faye is exactly why I'm a hobbyist/enthusiast and NOT licensed/professional. Just watching videos with her gives me severe anxiety. I have to mute the videos and/or skip through the tutorials. * Not joking.

Maybe a little more audio manipulation next time Faye is in, it was very hard to hear Kirsty in this video explaining the techniques, I love the banter between the three of you usually, but Kirsty’s mic audio level was too soft in this one. Even though Adam’s volume was at the same volume it always is, even his voice was clearer than Kirsty’s.
I thought the same thing! And the "beep" over the curses was *SO* loud it blew my ear drum out haha
My ear drums couldn’t take it. Poor Adam, I can hear him perfectly but Kirsty and Faye shout and screech so much the volume is all over - it’s truly awful. They seemed ‘up a height’ today 🥴

If you live in California look for Wyld brand berry gummies. (I don't know if they are available in other legalized states.) They are wonderful! I eat one piece (10 mg. THC) of the marionberry that's infused with indica about an hour before bed, and I haven't slept this well since before I had fibromyalgia. It's been just fantastic to be able to sleep comfortably again. They also have a sativa infused raspberry version that's every bit as good, but better for daytime use, like an hour before Faye is due to arrive! ;-)

I love the banter Kirsty has with Adam and other people and sometimes with faye but this video really annoyed me actually. I know they have been friends for like 10 or more yrs but Faye can come off really rude sometimes and I just think this video didn’t come off as maybe intended. Kirsty needs a medal to be able to handle a friend like this. Anyways Kirsty did amazing as always. Even though this one was hard to watch x

I have to watch Faye videos on mute if I watch them at all, I just don’t understand why she needs to basically take over the video that is supposed to be about technique and a tutorial and she overtakes it and is bossy and obnoxious and to be honest, she just distracts from what we tune in to see. In any other video we get to see technique and get a proper tutorial, it’s often not even worth watching when it’s a video on Faye and her mouth unfortunately

If i can afford a trip to Great Britain 🇬🇧 I’m definitely going to try to book a class with Kirsty, she’s a great teacher and her technique is *always* FLAWLESS!
I remember the first set of nails I ever did, and OMG, were they UGLY! They were lumpy, bumpy, misshapen, hideous, centimeter thick monstrosities! And they were WAY too long! Oh, what a mess they were!
Don't worry about your application not being pretty at first. It's one of those things that looks easier than it actually _is._ You know? Just don't be too hard on yourself. Practice making the "perfect bead" so you can get your powder and liquid ratios just right each time. Remember, it's supposed to be the consistency of wet sugar or sand. Get yourself some cheap practice fingers and practice putting on the forms and sculpting nails-- by the dozens! You'll get really good, consistent results if you practice, practice, practice! Good luck!
P.S. Another great educator is Kylea Wherry. Look up her channel. Her videos are always short, 15 minutes maximum, because she doesn't understand how to upload a longer video on RUclips! So, she's concise! But she has a great technique, and her designs are just lovely, as well. She uses BIG brushes, at least compared to the #8 that I always use, but she can make them work on the tiniest nails. Nail Career Education (Suzie's channel) is great, and so is Sarah's Nail Secrets and Nails by Nikki. Nikki is a newly licensed manicurist who is actually a medical professional and only got her manicurist's license because she likes school. But Nikkie is a ton of fun, very positive, upbeat and friendly. But she is *VERY* excitable and when she's excited she's *LOUD!!!* Also, she's very sing-song-ey. She has lots of give aways. She's still figuring out a lot of stuff and it's fun to figure out how to solve a problem or copy a new nail technique all together as a community. Happy learning and much success to you!

Oh, what a nice technique! I really like the golden edge between the pink and the white. It's kind of like eye liner, but for manicures, if you know what I mean. It accentuates the line in a flattering way, the same way eye liner accentuates (or changes) the eye shape in a flattering way.
As for pink pineapples, there aren't any pink-fleshed pineapples. There is a very small, very sweet pineapple cultivar that isn't shipped out of Hawaii because it doesn't ship well and it's too rare and too expensive to waste any. So, this little pineapple, that's almost a personal pineapple size, will run you about $100-$200-- if you can find one. But they ARE super-sweet, and much less acidic so they don't tear up the insides of your mouth the same way regular pineapples often do.

You know one trend I've never seen Kirsty do is an Aquarium Nail.
To all the people saying Faye is bossy and obnoxious, she just knows what she wants and how she wants it done. If something is not looking right she points it out I would rather have a client say something than just sit there and then at the end say they hate it
