So much has changed since this video was made. I went to Broadgreen infants (now Joseph Lappin centre) juniors & seniors spanning late 70's - early 90's. First pub I tried to get in was the Red house (1st Ave) now a costa coffee. Since Tesco was built, Prescot rd shops have definitely gone down hill but that's the same for every high street in tbe area. Some good memories watching this.
I went to broadgreen infants and juniour and seniors 1977 to 1989 . It wasnt too bad then . Now its dying , shops have disapeared and so has the community spirit . Lived there coming up to 50 year's now .
According to some people, Old Swan is a square yard in the middle of Presot Road surrounded by 'Stoneycroft'. you live in Old Swan - get over it! LOL! ;)
This used to be a nice area to live, with a great shopping centre, nice cinemas, good schools and good transport links. Sadly it appears that it is now home to a new breed of people who cannot express themselves without using an infantile form of English filled with profanities. Have all the schools closed as well as the cinemas?
Very interesting, thanks. I lived in the Swan in the 60's, and I have to say like most places, it has gone down the nick since then, with the graffitti etc. But was still nice to watch.
I'm loving it. It's a cross between a theme tune to a 90s BBC early afternoon programme about painting in water colours and the short lived 90s Eastenders theme tune remix.

@lochinvarxx So true. I left Old Swan (and Liverpool) about 25 years ago, but it's still a massive part of my life.

I made the vid and the music isn't appropriate. It seemed like a good idea at the time. I wonder what type of music would be more suitable. Wagner? :D
The music is the best thing about this vid. Like an 80s america sitcom such as who's the boss. And it is boss.
I made the video of Old Swan and put the music on. Since you mentioned it, I can't stop laughing when I watch it. :D
Anyone seen the STATE of Kensington and Newsham Park now??
@lochinvarxx Actually, the Las Vegas bingo hall & social club used to be in Mill Lane. :D
most of the shots in this video are of stoneycroft not old swan but thanks anyway
lol, you couldn't tell its August though... I've never seen so many Duffle Coats!! :D
You mean like George Michael? Queen? Elton John?
Good video but get rid off the cheesy music
Sorry, you're stuck with it. :D Almost18 years old now. So much has changed. I like the comment that the music makes it sound like St Tropez...

great but most of this is stoneycroft
i don't recognise the so-called district of Stoneycroft... its for jobbers....
bye....
FFW 2022 😓🥹
Now riddled & overrun with house's of Multiple occupancy which now house middle Eastern & African illegal immigrants for free .
I know it’s like that everywhere now, but are not allowed to say it out loud 😂😂
Same here in Ireland. Overrun with the vermin
