The horror stories I've read about the remainder of the network make a Tesla the only EV option for me!

I guess it depends how easy it is for you to charge. Can you charge at work? I wouldn't fancy going out of my way every week just to charge the car, but if it was at the office/shops/cinema etc that would be fine.
@@SpawnPoiint I'm an IT consultant and two of the clients office I visit have a charging station although I'm not sure if I'll be allowed to charged there. Also there's a charge station very close to my house and around me but I've always thought the point of owning an EV is to be able to charge at home because it will be cheaper. This is why I thought I'd ask before getting myself into tesla's pcp contract and later regretting it. Just to add, none of my neighbours own an EV as well. Which is like an alarm bell ringing in my ear. What do you still think, is it still a good idea?
I honestly don’t think I would if I couldn’t charge at home. Being able to walk out to a full charge without worrying is great. I personally couldn’t live with having to plan on a weekly basis.
I've only used them once, for testing, and it worked fine. I rarely need to charge away from home so it's quite rare I need to use anything other than Tesla.
When Tesla opens up their network to all ev's won't this effect depreciation on Tesla's ? It's their USP, Elon's no fool but I don't get it. I'm close to ordering a M3 but am worried about getting stung ....when is the best time ?
You're right. I've no idea how it's going to work. At the end of the day, Elon/Tesla want the world to move ahead with EVs, and Tesla are the only real 'network' that are doing it properly. I'd still buy Tesla (ordered a Model Y) but we need more chargers if it's going to open up to everyone.

SpawnPoiint That’ll be convenient if you have to travel somewhere near a service centre then.
Do you have a link to what cables you carry ?
They actually came with the car, from Tesla. I know they stopped that earlier this year with some deliveries though.
SpawnPoiint guess I will find out on the 2nd of September 🙂, great vids BTW very useful.
I prefer to use the third party 😊
Can I ask why? The third party charger I used was super slow and pretty expensive!
Does the cable “lock” in when charging so someone can’t nick it?
It does yes.
You have 125 and 150 _kW_ chargers, not _kWh_ chargers @ 5:43 :)
Slip of the tongue :)
I can't stretch to new but am hoping to pick up a pre loved model S circa 2016, the free supercharging : does that need any sort of registration and is it truly free for the life of the car regardless of age or owners as far as your crystal ball tells you?
Yes it’s definitely free for life. It’s linked to the car so will charge for free once plugged in.
Hey, how long did you have to wait once you ordered your tesla? I've ordered mine end of July and its estimated in September but not sure if that's accurate! Would appreciate your response, thanks.
Mine was last year, and the wait was around 12 weeks I think.
Great video as always! I f you have free referral miles, do you still have to register a card to your account?
Thank you. I think you do, yes, as that's how they bill you for any idle fees.
@@SpawnPoiint OK cool.. Many thnx!
@@SpawnPoiint Another question please.. Still waiting on my SR+ to arrive.. I heard that the screen comes with its own screen protector. Do you have to remove it it in order to install a 3rd party screen protector?
It comes with a plastic film, but it’s flimsy and you’ll definitely want to remove it before adding a protective layer.
@@SpawnPoiint Thanks again ! appreciate it
Wait... Spacedock; Is this you?
How much is it costing now current date aug 2022
With the crazy electricity prices for those who are on the standard rate its cheaper to charge away from home!
Thank you
Thank you too 🙏
Hi , been all over the Tesla site and can’t find where any referral code is entered ! Also can’t seem to find your code ? Thanks in advance.
Hi. My link is in the description of every video. There’s no code, you just need to use the link before ordering.
SpawnPoiint Hi Chris, thanks for response. I have now seen the link, although still pondering as to whether or not to go for it. Great informative videos mate really enjoy watching and learning more about this great piece of kit. All the best.
Is it advisable to buy an electric vehicle if you live in a flat in UK and will always have to charge outside?
How to get free super charge? Or normar charge free for lifetime?
Its a pain in the neck to charge that everyday😫
Have you had any experience with ecotricity? From what I’ve heard they’ve got a comparatively large network but very unreliable! Any thoughts?
I've only used them once, for testing, and it worked fine. I rarely need to charge away from home so it's quite rare I need to use anything other than Tesla.
Do I need 2 Tesla Accounts if I and another person wants to use the car with the phone
No just one, then you set the app up with your login details / authorise it.
Thx
I’d love to be able to afford one when I’m older
Every time I watch one of your videos: OMG he’s on the wrong side of the road! Lol. Oh. Duh. Great vid mate!
Sorry to confuse 😂
No, he’s on the right side..., no left,...correct side of the road!
😂
When Tesla opens up their network to all ev's won't this effect depreciation on Tesla's ? It's their USP, Elon's no fool but I don't get it. I'm close to ordering a M3 but am worried about getting stung ....when is the best time ?
You're right. I've no idea how it's going to work. At the end of the day, Elon/Tesla want the world to move ahead with EVs, and Tesla are the only real 'network' that are doing it properly. I'd still buy Tesla (ordered a Model Y) but we need more chargers if it's going to open up to everyone.
Very interesting you ordering a Model Y. May I ask, what price are you hoping to get for your M3 ? Tell us all about the Y then ..
