    The cautions and errors listed in this video may not yield the same results in every instance. We urge everyone to test your system to see if this error is accurate in your case. Stay safe and keep on learning.

    I have 10 blink cameras and have them grouped by location in and out the house. I have several sync modules for these groupings. I have front of house on one group and the back of house on another group so they will record at the same time. The blink sync modules are cheap and allow you to have the ability to record more than one camera at a tiime. Very easy to setup and no need to buy expensive alternatives.

    After a year of using the Blink with 5 cameras outdoor and 1 doorbell camera I have discovered that it's unreliable. Whenever there is anything I need to see, it's always at that time nothing gets recorded. The system will trigger from a tree moving in the wind and not record the Amazon guy walking up. As you said, it can't record simultaneously. Also, even if you have great WiFi coverage to all cameras, if the Sync module is say plugged in the middle of your house, it may not reach so the cameras struggle. The money would have been better spent getting a full system with solar panels and wifi. The hassle just isn't worth it.

      I've had 3 blink 3rd generation cameras for about a week. I'll probably be sending them on there way back to China soon. I mean there made in China if I'm not mistaken just like those glitzy emarald rings Amazon sells made in China for $1.99.. the ones that turn your fingers green. Well what can I say you get what you pay for. These useless cameras record maybe a second of a person's foot that was walking by if your lucky. At night they might catch a 1 second glimpse of a car light. You definitely could not identify what person it is, what vehicle it is, oh and that's if your cloud is working. I mean clips want always load so you can't look back and see the shoe😂 junk cameras!! So now I know they only record one camera at a time from this video, that's if you can keep up with expensive batteries.

    The blink system overall is beyond problematic. There is no "set and forget" about this system. Once the Trial of "Cloud storage" has run its course and you're shown what they can do, they take 90 percent of its functionality away again. wish I'd known this up front. Never would have bought them. I wish there was at least aftermarket software that would work on these cameras/synch box,but (to my knowledge) there isn't and with the advent of one camera at a time will work w/o the cloud just sealed its fate for me. total shit that wouldn't even make a proper doorstop or paperweight.

    I just got a Mini Blink. It’s wired. I have it pressed right up against a window to monitor my driveway/vehicle, etc. it’s perfect from X time to X time during the day. But from the specific night time (yes it’s dark and does detect) it stops until X time in the morning. For example, 9pm till 9am. I want it for overnight security. I have NO scheduled set, I have it set to detect movement, I have LED on….I have ALL the appropriate settings for it to record. Any suggestions as to why this is happening and how to fix it? I only have the 1 mini blink. I do have a secondary of a different brand, but I want this one to be working when I need it to be.

      @TeachMe101  Год назад

      Hi Amy! It sounds like the motion detection may not work through the window at night. Some windows have a UV coating that may prevent it from working well in the dark. Let's try a test.
      Try to simulate the same dark conditions inside the house. Then check to see if the motion detection system works without the window barrier.
      If it works, then you may have to find a way of mounting it on the other side of the window.

    Question 1: Are you saying you have experienced this FIRST HAND yourself with your Blink Sync module and cameras? Google searches offer conflicting reports saying Blink can have two different cameras recording at the same time.
    Question 2: If I bought 4 Blink outdoor cameras, I could possibly solve that problem by purchasing 4 Sync modules, one dedicated to each camera? Less expensive than buying a new camera system.
    Anyone interested in Reolink cameras, according to their website:
    "Reolink cameras systems can perform well under the temperature range of 14° to131°F,.
    It is not recommended to put Reolink Cameras or NVRs under extremely cold weather that may affect cameras in optic and mechanical disruptions."
    Most other outdoor security cameras(like Blink) have operating temps of -4° to 113° F.
    Perhaps you might consider the eufyCam 3 (S330) system. It has a solar panel built in on top but it appears to be much more expensive.

    • @TeachMe101
      @TeachMe101  Год назад +1

      Yes! We tested our Blink camera system before publishing the video. Our cameras did not record 2 separate events at one time. However, as we said in the disclaimer, some results may vary. So please conduct the test for your system to determine if the results are the same. And Yes again! You can purchase a separate module for your other cameras. That has become the growing consensus on this topic.
      Thanks again for the questions and comments. They are much appreciated.
      Have a great New Year!

    With so many Blink camera owners the drawbacks to them should be nonexistent like watching multiple cameras at once, cast or connect from sync module to TV. A lot of the coding for this wouldn't take long for a company of this size!
