VPN's are a must use, no matter where or what you are doing for total privacy. I enjoyed the drone segment a lot, thinking of getting one, but now I hear they have to be registered? Gotta check into that!
Patric actually R7 i bought is quite enought to any game at normal/sensible settings. Example: I get upto 130 fps (usually on 80) with ARK at ultimate view range and other low or merdium settings, with all other medium i get stable 50fps at 1050p. I have Radeon r7 360 OC (Gigabite) and i have had no problem with it (it cost 90 euros brand new with 2 years warranty).
I always buy the best GPU I can afford, Have had some really bad experiences with SLI/Xfire, is not as transparent as just installing an additional card. Also you are not exactly doubling your GPU power, just a percentage.
+Allan Libby Just sent you an email, wish they made the local buying options for the Odroid more obvious on the Hardkernal site! Just ordered one, will be playing w/ it on @TekThing soon. -Patrick
great info on a quad copter...I found for $80 and seems to handle my wife and I noobie flying skills Propel V2.0 has a camera and built in...I got it at Costco.
My son got one of those Nano Copters for Christmas from his Uncle. I already had one, and find that they are nearly IMPOSSIBLE to control. You are constantly adjusting the throttle, it is impossible to trim, and just the slightest movement on the controls sends these things at warp speed in the direction you THOUGHT (yea...you breath on the controls of these and it GOES). Are the Husban's better about this? My son is actually scared to death to fly the nano, and I don't want him to be discouraged.
+WreckDiver99 I think they are, my 8 year old has gotten pretty good hovering/walking the dog/landing, all the basic drone skills. It does take patience, practice, and practice. And practice! The AirHog drones are a bit gentler, but you have to wait a while to recharge in between flights 'cause you can't swap batteries. -Patrick
Thanks Patrick! I'm really looking at these. My local MicroCenter has them, and about the same price as Amazon. How I got blessed with a Geeks 'R Us (I mean Microcenter) is beyond me...not as good as Fry's, but I'll take it. I think a Husban is in our future!!
Hi guys...!! any ideas for two factor authentication with Openvpn and google 2FA? or any other 2FA provider or vendor.. I'm a big fan of you guys and Darren.. shout out from Dominican Republic.. ^_^

Another excellent episode, guys!
I think the Hubsan is not for beginners. I would recommend the Syma X5c.

Buy the odroid from Ameridroid, they are the US distributer and shipping is in line with that, not $16 to ship from Korea.

Sweet. I realized last night the c2 only has Ubuntu 16.04 support, not sure about that atm, will see how stable it is.
Also, hard kernel has pre-built distros of Android and Ubuntu, no need to roll your own.
it's like watching a kung-fu movie with dubs.
Is it just me or is the audio a little out of sync with the video?
Great show as usual. I always enjoy TekThing. Later

RUclipsr Ronald Walters has a few recent videos on repairing his small, low cost drone. They might be of interest to anyone into small drones.
Firefoxy !
This is like watching an early Godzilla movie... not that either of you are old enough to have seen those.
+Corgitronics I grew up when black & white monster movies on UHF was still a thing, yo! -Patrick
Hubsan are unkillable. Unless you drown it, i drowned it :(
The AMD RX480 is about to drop at $200 and will pack a wallop.
Were they "droning" on about gpu's, or was that a "pigment" of my imagination? :P
